My husband I frequent Joe's in the Garden State Plaza 4 to 5 times a month. The last time we went, my husband left his credit card behind as we were rushing out to the movies. In the morning, when we realized that he had left the card behind, he immediately contacted the restaurant and was told that the card would be kept secure in their restaurant safe. Imagine our surprise when we received a call from American Express confirming a purchase that was made that afternoon using my husband's credit card!!! We were shocked and astounded that someone was using his credit card at the Bergen Mall, in Hackensack, and in other stores in Paramus ALL DAY - to the tune of thousands of dollars!!! When we spoke to the manager of the restaurant, he was SURPRISED that this had happened and was adamant that after speaking to his staff that my husband's credit card NEVER left the restaurant safe! He told me that he will cooperate if the police or Amex contacts him. Unfortunately, we will never go to that restaurant again and will be sure to let people know that if they do to watch their wallets!
