I signed a contract for "$10 a month-no contract" sorry it is BS. The cheapest monthly fee is $10 but there is a annual contract fee (mine was waived because I was a friend of the managers mother) I also signed up for a personal trainer. Heres the rub, because I haven't been in a gym in many years, I knew that equipment had advanced and improved, but I wasn't familiar with a lot of the new stuff. When I went in several days after my sign up, I was ignored and the manager spent my entire visit on his cell phone. So the following week I was called by 2 different trainers to set up appointments and when I called back they never returned my call. I then called a different branch and was given an appointment, which turned out to be 1 of 3 the guy had at the same time. He promised to call me back and reschedule and he didn't. I made 2 more appointments and when I arrived for each I was told I "wasn't in the system" so they couldn't allow me in the gym" By this time I was getting a little frustrated and was finally assigned a trainer. After 2 session she disappeared! No one called me to tell me she was gone. At this point I felt that this was no longer a good fit so I decided to cancel. HA! I have written letters to every name I had, every company listed on each contract, BUT because I didn't die or get disabled, move 25 miles away, OR cancel within 7 days I am still responsible. Now I'm being harassed by bill collectors and when I call them back they refer me to someone else or quote the 7 days cancellation mantra. SO good luck to any one who wants this headache!!
