We also are waiting to get our money back, with a slightly different twist. We paid our deposit, and when we went to mail in the final payment, the check came back as undeliverable. The address where the contract stated we should send it was incorrect, even though that is where he specifically told us to mail it!... so... after many calls and emails (none returned)John tells me that he went ahead and rented out the unit, and as we didn't pay we were out of luck ($3300 deposit now GONE) When we complained about the address being incorrect, he said he would take care of it. This all happened in early July, and we are still waiting to hear back. When we have gotten through to him, he says that the check is on the way. Still waiting. Sorry, but what the ***? They know he's scamming people and don't do anything about it? This has taken way too much of my time, and he STILL has my money when HE screwed up! We even had to find a different place to stay on vacation because I refused to give him more money.

Has anyone had any success in getting their money? If so, what did you finally have to do? Monroe County Sheriff's office is not coming through.
