I purchased this metal baby gate (specifically designed for top-of-the-stair use) and within 3 months, my 15-month-old was able to break a welded metal bar out of the gate. The hole it left was large enough that she could have fallen through down the stairs. It also posed a threat in that the jagged metal edge jutted outward at eye level and could have caused injury.

The parts that connect to the wall are also made of cheap plastic and should also be reviewed for safety.

Please encourage the company to recall these dangerous gates until they can get their method, labor and materials fixed.
