Would you turn away a homeless ex-drug addict if you had the opportunity to help this person if the person was seeking help? The Berks County YMCA, a nonprofit organization, who receives funding through OUR government as well as private donations, appears to think differently. Not only do they think differently, they turn homeless people like this away without any reason being given. Kim Miller, who is the housing director of various homeless programs within this YMCA, is the direct person who is turning people in need away. There is room at this Y, but she appears to pick and choose who she wants in this Y. This homeless person is trying to stay clean, an opportunity that exists at this Y and this person is also eligible for these housing programs, but Miller will not open her heart. No reason is given from Kim Miller. This homeless person believes he is a victim of religion discrimination. This holiday will be less happy for this person and who knows where he will end up at.
