I don't know where to start for this review except that I highly recommend working with Molly and Monica from LA Midwife Collective. Monica Wood was my midwife thru the Sanctuary for my first birth which ended in a hospital transfer after 41 hrs of home labor. My first son was stuck and I was exhausted, so I gave in and got the epidural and pitocin. We planned for a hospital birth for our 2nd son. We were used to the midwifery prenatal care we received the first time around, so when we didn't get that same care with our OBGYN it was disappointing. I had a normal healthy pregnancy and even tho I was only in their care for 7 weeks I felt completely safe. I went into labor 6 days before my due date Sunday morning. I waited until my contractions felt "real" and called up Monica. She listened to my contraction on the phone and said they were on their way. They arrived around 9am; Molly, Monica, her student Liz, and Liz' partner Liza. Side note: Liza came to help watch our oldest son Emmett and she was a total gem and life saver, she didn't just show up uninvited! :) No matter how much planning you do for your natural birth — and you’ll definitely want to do a lot of planning and research — nature sometimes decides to throw you a curveball. In addition to planning out your natural childbirth, also speak to your caregiver about what steps you should take if something doesn’t go according to plan. Amazing, amazing, amazing! Personalized care. Molly and Monica's appointments were at least an hour each and they tended to not only my body but my emotions too. They also provided amazing nutritional advice and recommended vitamins and herbs to help me pre and post natally..... You can also contact the midwife that helped me a lot...
