In mid September 2009, I dropped off two pair of pants to have the zippers replaced.
One pair fits me and I wear, the other are too big for me and I don’t wear them. Because I don’t wear the larger pair, it was a few weeks before I noticed that the zipper had not been replaced at all.
When I had the time, I took them back and asked them to go ahead and replace the zipper which I had already paid for.
Again, when I had the time, I went back to the cleaners to pick the pants up. It was several weeks later when I looked at the pants closely in order to take them to a clothing exchange which I like. The zipper broke the first time I tried to unzip the pants. Again, when I had the time, I took them back for the third time and told them what had happened. They said they would replace the zipper again.
Once again, when I had the time, I went to pick up the pants. It is now into February of 2010. I tried the zipper one time to make sure it was working.
It worked fine.
About a month later, once again, I was preparing to take the pants to the clothing exchange and checked the zipper to make sure it would work.
As soon as I attempted to unzip them, the zipper broke again!
So, in late March of 2010, and for the third time, when I had the time, I took the pants back to the cleaners asking them for either a refund or a credit for the dry cleaning I had with me, needing cleaned.
The clerk not only argued with me but tried to imply that I had waited too long to bring them back. Like as if I had been wearing them all along. I told her and showed her that the pants were too big for me and I don’t wear them.
I also explained that I don’t have time to run up there every other day to address this issue. She continued to argue with me and make accusations against me. By now I’m angry and I told her that I had been more than patient with them and that until that very moment, I had not gotten angry and if she didn’t want my business that I would take my business elsewhere.
She continued to run her mouth at me so I picked up my clothing and told her I would be filing a complaint against her. She said candidly “OK”.
