I have purchased a deal for Lavender Medical Beauty Spa before to receive a massage. As I came in 10 minutes early before my scheduled time, the receptionist was busy with a different client; however, she did not acknowledge me waiting and did not greet me. After 15 minutes I was checked in and introduced to a massage therapist. The therapist was pleasant and knowledgeable, and took another 15 minutes to talk to me about what massage experience I was looking for. My massage was supposed to start at 1:00 pm. It began at 1:20 and ended at 2:00 pm. Not only my 60-minute massage turned out to be only 40 minutes, but therapist’s hands reeked of cigarette smoke, which completely ruined my experience. I mentioned my shortened massage at the receptionist desk, and they told me that because of scheduling, they do not extend it to a full hour. They did offer to give me an extra 20 minutes of massage for free for my next session, but do they really believe I will want to come back? Considering that this deal is for the purpose of introducing a company to a client, this was the poorest introduction that turned me away rather than made me a life-long client.
