customer care I dont think so
having dealt with lcvan hire only once and never again, I am not surprised to read the above. I hired, or attempted to hire in june/july 2011, a nine seater, I originally asked for it to be delivered on thursday am. after talking with lcvanhire I found that it would be possible to have it delivered on wednesday night, I was then called, and told it couldnt be wednesday night, and so told them to leave it for the thursday am. as was originally arranged, they then told me that they had cancelled the thursday am vehicle, but i could travel almost 65 miles and pick one up on wednesday evening, i told them that was not possible, and so the gentleman to whom i was speaking called me a stupid woman, and hung up, i persisted with calling and emailing them for two days and when eventually they answered my call, i requested my deposit back, paid the same way as miss jill foxton above, they refused saying that it was i whoi was cancelling the order. Sadly the mini bus hire was for a very close family members funeral, and so I had to abandon for three days my pursuit of the money that was owed to me, i have created a file, just to hold the emails that have been bantered backwards and forwards from this company and then hey presto, they suddenly paid half the deposit back into my account,,, we are now fighting to get the balance paid. the amount of failed bacs payment system breakdowns and lack of commumication is unbelievable, i wish i could broadcast to the word not to touch lcvanhire EVER. marlene

Non refund
Tony threw a little hissy fit and cancelled my order back in December 2010.
More than 50 emails later (and countless calls), and I still have no refund of the £456 they owe me. On 6 occasions they have promised the BACS transfer was lined up, but it never happens. I can never get an explanation as to why.
I have requested their company number, their business address, also the phone number of their accounts department. The closest I got to knowing where they are located was the address Tony gave me at one point - a unit in an industrial estate in Barking that just happened to have been demolished some years ago. Their website, gives an Edinburgh address, but this is invalid too. Buzzing around the internet shows countless addresses against their name, which match up to lots of business names and similar-enough-you-know-it-is-them websites. Their servers are registered to Unit 20 Bellingham Trading Estate, Franthorne Way, Catford, London, SE6 3BX. This address seems to be primarily associated with Eurodrive and Admiral Car Hire... all the same thing though.
The problem partly is Tony. He is incredibly rude. I can never get through to them after 10am, but they pretend their system does not come up until 10. If you push him to request a call back he gets even stroppier, then doesn't bother. The fact that the BACs run hasn't happened several times before doesn't stop them pretending to do it again. Originally I wasn't sure if we was one of the most stupid people I have ever had the misfortune to speak to, or a blatant criminal. I think the answer is both.
