Poor Customer Service/Dress made wrong the wrong size!
I should have listened to my husband!!

Instead, I was swayed by the professional looking website and online chatting with a sales rep... DO NOT BE FOOLED!!!

I ordered a formal dress for a wedding. I had it "professionally tailored" to fit my specific body type. The dress came. I tried it on anxiously. Then to my utter disbelief, disgust and dissapointment the dress fit me like a tent! It was HUGE. It fell off me. I stood bewildered in front of the mirror trying to hitch it up. I measured the waist of the dress. Get ready for this... My waist is 27 inches. THAT was the measurement I gave to Lightinthebox.com. The dress measured a waist of 37 INCHES!!! TEN inches too big! AND it was much longer than the picture showed on the model.

SOOOO I tried to call on the phone to talk to a customer service rep. This is the great part- THERE IS NO NUMBER TO BE FOUND ON THE WEBSITE!!! Yes, I was a fool to not realize this before I made the purchase.

HOWEVER they are very quick to chat if you are interested in BUYING THEIR MERCHANDISE. This built my confidence because I spoke several times with someone before I bought the dress.
BUT here is where they are sneaky. ..

When I tried to chat with someone as I did with such ease when I wanted to make a purchase, they suddenly sent me to a box to submit my request and I was told I would be contacted by customer service within 24 hours!

WHAT A JOKE!

I then clicked on the box to chat with a rep as if I was going to buy something. THAT IS THE ONLY WAY SOMEONE WILL TALK TO YOU. I asked if they have an 800 number to call. I was told they have "no phone service at his time." HUH?!?!

To make a LONG story a little shorter I called my credit card company. I spoke with someone that disputes charges, and much to my great relief they credited my account. I sent that awful dress back IMMEDIATELY! I was very fortunate because I used paypal. My credit card company said if I didn't they would have had to jump through hoops to get an address to send it back too.

It was a waste of my TIME and it could be a waste of YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE! I feel so bad for any of you that did not get your money back!

I spent half the day trying to figure out how to resolve this and my husband had the pleasure of saying "I TOLD YOU SO!"

Never received item, or refund!
I ordered a Wedding Dress for my forthcoming nuptials well in advance. Had heard nothing and received no dress after 2 months so I emailed enquiring where my dress was... only to be told that they had made a huge administrative error and hadn't actually processed my order. I was assured that they would rush my dress and ship it with a matter of urgency at no additional charge, which I was more than happy with.
After a week and a half, the dress still hadn't arrived, so I emailed again. I received an email stating that due to high demand, again, they still had not started making my dress. Needless to say, I was not happy at all! They offered me a free dress, but it would not turn up in time so I asked for a refund. They assured me they would refund me in full and were very apologetic for their grave mistakes... wasn't really good enough as I thought I had found the perfect dress... and their late admission of the fact they couldn't provide me with the dress I had paid for left me 2 weeks to find a new dress... great!!!
Well 2 weeks on, I am still waiting for a refund. First I was told I would have a refund in 3 - 5 business days, then 5 - 7, then up to 45! They even tried to blame my credit card company for the delay, even though I paid with Paypal and there are no problems with my account. I have since received two contradictory emails... one stating that they had no right to refund me my money (they had every right to take my money so how does that work?!)... and one stating that my refund request had been rejected by their finance department but they would do their best to refund me in a further 5 - 7 business days.
I really really doubt that I will ever get a refund from this disgraceful excuse for a company so I cannot stress anymore... please please please DO NOT EVER buy from this store!!!

told item shipped
To Whom it May Concern!
I have emailed this company Light in a box three times, no response. I've even tried to chat with William and a pop-up keeps stating come back in 5 mins. This has been going on for the last couple of weeks now. I rec'd an email on March 31, 2010 stating that my items have shipped. I went on the website to search for a tracking #. The # s not valid. I ordered on March 20, 2010, the Gorgeous Clear Crystals Wedding Bridal Jewelry Set (DT9010), Including Necklace, Earings and Tiara. My wedding is coming soon. I requested a response and rec'd nothing. No email from that company. I AM GOING TO CONTACT MY BANK AND BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU TO FIND OUT WHAT ELSE I COULD DO TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. I NEED A RESPOND AND SOON. COULD SOME ONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO CONTACT THIS COMPANY?

mobile phone problem
bought and recieved a mobile phone from them, since having the phone i have not been able to use it as neither of the batteries will charge, i dont know wether its a fault in the charger itself or the battries, i have tried through the website to contact them about this problem but i keep getting refered to different places and to be honest ive had enough now, this phone was a gift to someone special, and now its useless!!!
please help me

Product can't pass customs
We are out $120 because they won't respond to requests regarding customs, and they also will not return any emails & no phone # for customer service.

FROM UPS:
The above shipment was held by US Customs for IPR copyright authorization from Coolmax. We have been trying to contact the shipper for the trademark authorization letter from Coolmax, but the shipper (Light in the Box) is not responding. US Customs will not allow this shipment to be returned to the shipper if no one can provide a letter stating the items are authentic. The only option is to abandon and destroy shipment unless you can get the letter.

SERVICE
BOUGHT MY DAUGHTER A MP-3 PLAYER ON-LINE. GOT IT, HAS NEVER WORKED. INSTRUCTIONS LOOK THEY WERE WRITTEN BY A THREE YEAR OLD. COMPUTER CAN'T EVEN RECOGNIZE THE DEVICE. ON THE WEBSITE, THERE IS NO NUMBER ANYWHERE AND NO ONE WILL ANSWER E-MAILS, BUT THEY TOOK OUR MONEY!!!

Scam
Want to throw your money away real fast and get frustrated at the same time? Order something from Lightinthebox (dot com)! They are a Chinese company that lures internet shoppers with fantastic deals. I had to gamble with them because I couldn't find a video door phone anywhere at a decent price. My first hesitation was having to use my PayPal account. Stupid me. But for $140 (compared to $500 elsewhere), I bit the bullet. They put emphasis on pre-sales promises, so you feel good until you commit your money.

Product that arrived didn't even have a U.S. compatible plug. It took weeks of delayed email back and forth to clear that one little mistake they made. It took more weeks for them to ship an adapter. It took still more weeks of slow, delayed, annoyingly bottom priority email that they hardly read or understand to get a tracking number for the adapter. Sorry but they got your money already. You get the slowest parcel post mail without tracking. In the meantime, they repeatedly send you the refund form to fill out because that's they first reaction. Or maybe they're so used to it. But you won't get your $40 shipping cost refunded. And you have to pay your own $40 shipping to send the item back. And they won't refund until they get back their crappy item.

Lo and behold, the rinky *** power adapter arrives. It's the cheapest plastic thingy ever. And still, the device does not work. It compares to a pop-up toy that comes out of a gumball machine. So yes I have to consider shipping it back at my cost because there's no warranty.

I'm a loser. I gambled, and I lost.

Terrible Service/Product
Terrible experience. The dress I received is nothing like what was pictured; the picture showed a stretch satin dress with beading. I received a dress with a non-stretch satin with a tacky lace overlay and sequins. There was a tear in the skirt area. Contacting the company is not possible as they are in China and list no phone numbers. The website has a live chat option that is only for pre-sales questions and cannot direct to a further source of communication. Sending emails grants you a generic macro-ed email response that has nothing to do with what you have asked/stated. Terrible experience.

Credit Card Theft
My Mastercard provider called me as someone tried to use my card number via Light In The Box.com for over $1500.00. The card is now cancelled. Beware.

Rip Off
This company is a classic online ripoff operation. They sell merchandise at cut-rate prices that is designed to look like it works -- but NOTHING WORKS. It's all a gimmick. The electronics are not even supplied with some of their merchandise -- just a casing that looks real.

They are an online scam outfit that flourishes off first-time buyers who are deceived by the front that they put up online. You can't find them. You can't call them. You can't get a refund. You can't get a return. All you get is screwed. In my case, I lost several hundred dollars. It was the worst online experience of my life.

You'll never find anyone out there who ever goes near Light In the Box again. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE. Stick to major retailers who can actually be held accountable.
