I applied for a payday loan with Lincolnville Financial. I received an approval notice, and spoke to Mr. Thomas about the terms of my loan. I was required to wire, using Western Union, a collateral payment of $750.00, to Mr. Donald Banks (Surprise). Then, Mr Thomas called me back and changed the receiver's name to Paul Dunn. Shortly thereafter, he called me AGAIN, to change the receiver's name to Ricky Collins. Somehow, my loan folder ended up in Customer Service, being handled by an extremely rude "mystery man." This man called me and told me that the lender now wanted an additional payment of 750.00
Again, I wired this to Ricky Dunn. I complained about this additional payment, and was assured by this man in cuatomer service that there would be no more fees. He e-mailed me a letter signed by Bernard Sanders, stating that upon the receipt of the second payment, my loan would be released. When the money never showed up in my account, I called Customer Service, only to be informed that the lender now required an additional payment of 750.00 for a Personal Liability insurance policy. He said that he didn't care about what the above mentioned letter said. I then told him I wanted my money back, including the Western Union fees. He said that I'd have it by Friday, 10/15. When my money didn't show up in the mail, I called Mr. Thompson, who promptly hung up on me.
