Before I signed lease I was told the water was included in the rent. After signing however, I was told that "included" means when you pay your rent you add the water to the total making it "included" in your rent. To add insult to injury, then I find out the water is charged based on square footage, not my meters or even by occupants. Last year in previous apartment my water averraged $10.27 per month and now I'm being charged $30.00 per month! After I found out what the charge would be, I asked the apartment manager about this and was told that it was "too bad because I already signed the contract".
