Same Scam - Grand Financial Services Inc.
Very In-ter-es-ting !! My notification letter of my $125,000 winnings with a $4550 check enclosed (dated 8/4/2011) came from Grand Financial Services, Inc (a company registered in the US, Canada, and the UK). The letter had the same serial number (312897MS) as the above Mega Millions Sweepstakes winner, only mine was for a Market Survey Sweepstakes Lottery (these people have such limited imaginations). They also needed to have the same $3400 in taxes sent to them (how curious!). And, before I cashed that check I was to call my claims agents (who would undoubted tell me that everything was legitimate). Of course, I checked the bank - it was a real bank and the name on the check is that of a successful potato grower in the northern regions was my state (same city as the bank). - What further proof is needed?? Sounds like I need to rush off and send them that $3400 - from an account I closed years ago at a bank that went under and no longer exists....

Mega Million Sweepstakes
I also received a legitimate looking check in the mail from this company for $4, 450.00 congratulating me on winning in the Mega Million Sweepstakes with a ticket I have never purchased. They are asking for $3, 400.00 to be sent to them by Western Union or Money Gram to cover the tax on the remaining amount of my winnings...$425, 000. Of course this is a scam and I have no idea what happens when a person tries to cash or deposit the check. I wouldn't be surprised if the bank teller triggers a silent alarm and the unsuspecting person is arrested on the spot!
