Woke up and found six pending charges from this scam company on my credit card of whom I never heard of

I wanted to get a free trial of the makeup and when I put my card through it wouldn't take it. Then 2 days later there is 2 charges for $1.00 a piece. I want to know how it is that it wouldn't take my credit card, but can later charge my account? I know it's only $2.00 but this is bull crap. They are nothing but thieves.
