My Order
In October I ordered a MagicJack by phone. On Nov 6 my Visa waHave no codes charged $46.90, but I have not received the MagicJack. I placed my order in my wife's name (Jane Rosi) since she had already made other purchases at the phone number, but I charged it to my Visa (T. Alan Pattison). Please advise me of the status of my order.

Fraudulent Practices
The MagicJack infomercial promises to pay return shipping for its devices. Despite my elderly mother's device being returned well within the 30 days (using an RMA and verified by MagicJack and the post office, ) I have not been able to get her return shipping reimbursed. The company rep who gave me the RMA said the company does not issue prepaid labels and that if the infomercial stated return shipping would be paid then she would be issued a refund. A full month and four calls of repeated promises of this postage refund by MagicJack online reps later, a fifth rep told me that MagicJack NEVER reimburses shipping. I have printed transcripts of all my online "chats' (they have no phone customer service, despite having MagicJacks themselves) and recorded the MagicJack infomercial that promised this reimbursement and have now filed complaints with the attorneys general in the state of Florida, where the MagicJack was returned to and Colorado, where my elderly mother lives.

broken no tech support
Stay away from MagicJack!

I had it for 6 months with echos on the audio, but could live with it since I needed a cordless version of SKYPE.

Today it died. I prepaid the 5 year plan. They have no phone numbers for ANYTHING - tech or sales. A phone company with NO PHONES?????

I was on the computer TYPING my problem with 4 techs for 1 hr 19 min. No luck.

STAY AWAY and go to SKYPE!!!

Not reliable
Magicjack is not reliable and the company does not stand behind their product. I have spent over a dozen hours on chats trying to keep it working. After a host of changes to my settings that their agents walk me through I could get the unit working, but usually it would quit after a few days. After 2 months of trying to make it reliable I asked for a refund and was denied, now I am waiting for a replacement but have seen a number of complaints posted because they charge you for the replacement, then deny that they received the returned unit and will not give you your refund. I am now wondering if I will cancel the replacement and just chalk this up to my stupidity and their lack of integrity.

poor product and company irresponsible
The first magicJack they shipped me was faulty and could not be made to work although I hired a computer specialist to install it and to do all of the other series of steps that they kept feeding to us. After over three weeks and $120 worth of computer help, I insisted they send a replacement. I have had the replacement for only two weeks but have been in online chats with them for at least six hours trying to get it to work to no avail. They now will not accept my log in for help and they say that I'm not due a refund because my order was placed more than four weeks ago (that was the first order, of course!) I'm now out in addition to the price of computer help, also the price of the device, one year's service and shipping which comes to $42 plus the cost of an electrified hub, $29.99, which they said I needed! A total of $191.99!! I'm retired and can't afford to be scammed like this. I hope that you put them out of business!

scam
I gues I perchased MJ in AUG and for about amonth and a half it semed to work good, after that I started to get an advertisement after I got a mesage that I need to plug in the mj into the USB port. I called what they called tech support and got the runaround, talked to three tech support people but did not fix anything.
I got ripped off.

false advertising
claims caller id works with any phone. Had 2 magicjacks sent to me and neither one displayed caller id # or name just incoming call. Days of troubleshooting to no avail. They even told me to waste $ buying an Ac powered USB port. Their risk free trial verbatim 'YOU OWE NOTHING WE'LL EVEN COVER THE POSTAGE TO RETURN IT' is not honored as you must pay s/h to return it. There is no 800 customer service # and their chat line is useless. Their techs/sales end the session if you try to get them to abide by their promises. DON"T BUY THIS $^^$#%^&* device.

This device was totally inoperable. There is no one to talk to when you place your order, no one to answer if you want to return, and no clear info if you want to return it- you have to somehow find an order #, and delivery #, and you have no way to know what these are from your package, to get a RMA # sent. This product should be taken off the market and the originators face prison-this is piracy. They say no questions asked return policy-LIE!

Awful experience
Received unit. Two friends happy with product. They have PCs and I have Intel based MAC with supported OS system. Product was not recognized on loading. Called customer service (oxymoron term for this company) via chat and did everything they said and finally passed me to higher support level. They repeated every step given previously and it still did not work. I went to friend's home and my unit was also not recognized on his computer although his magicjack loaded without problem.

I contacted tech support again and said what had been done and that it would not load on my friends computer who had successfully loaded his magicjack. I suggested that this indicated a faulty product and I would like to exchange it. Higher tech support said to do everything that had been done before and when I questioned it, she rudely informed me that chat would end because of my attitude.

I think tech support is outsourced and company should change this section and give to another company. It is the most acknowledgeable and rude service I have encountered. Several other posters have said the same thing and my experience verifies theirs. I am sure many others have also had this experience but they do not post.
