Double charging
I paid my MagicJack subscription renewal for 1 year using my credit card. When my credit card bill arrived, I was charged twice, the first posted on 2/22/2011 and the second one posted on 3/19/2011. I was surprised to see this because I was only renewing for one year, so why should I be charged twice? I was trying to coordinate with my credit card company but they said they have already paid. I just want to have a refund for the other payment made since I am renewing my subscription for only one year.

they sell device you don't need than cancel your perfectly working device collect international fees than they don't let you switch your credit I spend more than nine hours to sulve the problem i got no where

I bought my magicJack today after calling before i went to get it to see if the commercial i saw was legit and they said all i would have to have is a high speed internet and i could purchase it and would be able to come home plug it up and would have phone service instantly so i went to the store ask them face to face again they replie the same they did over the phone so i purcased it well i got home followed the three instructions and i got a dial tone but the numbers were'nt dialing out so i followed the installation help directions andstill the same thing so i tried to find a number from th instruction paper do you believe there was no number so i went to the web site they had on there for additional information magigJack.com/majgicFix annd they wanted me to pay 38.00 with adebit or credit card just so i could chat with a live agent and i just spent42.79 for this bull what they must be crazy or high whatever it is they will be refunding me my money i wish i could get paid for my 4 hours of searching the internet for free help ann my gas, gas is 3.67 a gallon here this total experience has been awaist of money!, time !and energy!

rude tech people & does not work
I put up with a year of not being able to use my phone as advertised, as I had already paid for it. I did get occasional voice mails, some of which I could actually hear. I never could hear through any of the dozen phones I bought to try. Yoday I signed up for another year because I do not want to share my cell number with anyone. I spoent the entire day on the phone with the tech help. There was about 10-15 minutes between each direction I was given to uninstall my phone & then reinstall. I went through 3 tech people, as shift changes. I had nothing to eat & could not even get a potty break. How ridiculous! I demanded my money back & said I would tell everyone about their rudeness & lack of service. I got another phone which works just fine as a phone

device is unreliable, needs constant fiddling
My husband is very, very handy when it comes to electronics. He can install everything and make it run. Well, magicJack sounds good, the idea is brilliant. But the reality is something else. It takes constant fiddling to make this thing work. And even if you do get it working,
you often get a poor connection, an echoing line, people on the other end complain they can't hear us. It seems to depend on the time of day and which day of the week we use it. Always better after business hours and on the weekend, of course, so you can't save money during the week. Their customer service is notoriously unhelpful and they almost never refund your money. So if you want to be constantly aggravated, buy this product. I think most people get fed up and just throw theirs away. We're frugal and stubborn so we persist but will probably fling it into the recycling bin when our contract is up. THIS GADGET NEEDS SOME SERIOUS REVISING IN ORDER FOR IT FOR WORK PROPERLY!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!

It will not work and they will not give me a refund
i have tryed to get some one to help me fix it but they want to charge $48.00 to talk to some one. I tryed to get a refund and they said they didn't give refunds. they said when I got it if I was not sastified I get a refund it was satified gaunted What can I do?

magictalk interferes
magicjack has a new product called magictalk. when i try to use magicjack, magictalk interferes and loads every time without loading magicjack. magictalk is a ridiculous problem having to dial a whole bunch of numbers to dial the number that you need to dial in the first place, and forget getting calls back. i want what the company sold me and i recommended to a LOT of people, and it was working fine till magictalk came along. i am a senior, need my phone.

Unauthorized Charges
What a piece of junk this equipment is! Our address location didn't have enough "upload speed" to have this device. Cancelled service and then on the renewal date, it AUTOMATICALLY deducts another year of service, without your consent. These people DO NOT have a customer service telephone number. You have to CHAT with some numb nuts and never get anywhere. I will file a complaint with every company that allows you to do so. This company should be shut down.

Dear Mr. Borislow,
I'm sorry to bother you but, I hope you will take the time to read this and offer a solution.
My brother bought a 5 year subscription recently so that (when I came to be his caregiver) I would be able to call relatives easily and keep them posted at no additional financial burden to me. You see, he had throat cancer and could no longer speak. He only bought the amount of time he did as a small gift to me that I could have it to use. He passed away a week ago and following is the issue I am having:
When I tried to change the email address for the messages it didn't work. This means I have to continue accessing his address to check for messages which is pretty depressing. Also, there appears to be no means of transfering the account to my name and info. The numbers that I have found on the internet are apparently never answered. Now, when I was traveling to my sisters place 2 days ago, a gentleman asked me what I thought of the Magicjack service when he saw it attached to my laptop. I told him I wasn't sure yet but that I noticed numerous flaws that I was amazed were even there as this is not a new product. If I can't fix this Major issue that I am experiencing; this will shortly be in a landfill and then what do you think I will tell people about Magicjack ? Much less, the fact that I will never subscribe.
