Overpaymant
Sometime in the first week of June 2010 my magicjack subcription expired and i opted to renew it to 5 years as to get the $30.00 discount. Upon having on the process of renewing they asked me the credit informations to complete the transactions to get the magicjack work again. I made 6 times the process because they always demand the correct information regading the card of which i used to pay the discounted payment for the 5 years promotion of the company. However, to my surprised on the following day, my magicjack unit work again not knowing that they Overcharged me in my Card 5 times which means it will expire until 2040. Probably, we all be 6 feet on the ground by the time it will expire. So, in this connection i would like to let the company Refund to us the overpayment made to my wife card. We need the money back as soon as possible. Next time, magicjack should advice their client every transactions on their company with honest, dignified and courteous actions.

Billing And Custoner Service.
Their Customer Service and Billing Dept, is a Disaster and a
Fiasco. They are Good for Nothing.
There are Not Phone, to Contac in case of Troubles or
Mistakes. Can't be recomended, because They don't realy care about Customers.

Absoluto. En realidad, luce que no les interesa, Sú propia
Compañia, para nada. Lástima por Ellos. Son los que
pierden Clientes y Prestigio.

broken speech while talking
there is no clarity in the phone service. weather I call out or receive calls, the speech is all broken up and you have to keep asking the other party what or they have to keep asking you what you said. the magicjack company does not have a phone number to call and ask for help, so you have really no way to get in touch with them. I do hope someone will be of some help... thanks

I bought the device after hearing I can get a local number. Fooled! I not only didn't get a local number, but there is no way to get your voice mail off the phone. When I when to the site to obtain this information, the site says you can talk to a live operator. Fooled! There is no phone number to call. There isn't even an address for contact information. You are given a site address, then you are taken to all possible technical questions. None to which have anything to do with getting your voicemail from the phone. The phone pad comes up on your computer every time the phone rings, which means that if you are in the middle of doing something and the phone rings, you have to stop what you are doing. Another thing is you have to have the computer on for it to work. It doesn't work with dial up computer lines. Another complaint is the $39.99 that I paid for a free year of service a ripoff. They want you to buy other items to enhance the features that are free with the phone. I wanted to send mine back, but there is no address to send it back on the site nor was there any to send it back on the package. What a waste of my hard earn cash. Please help me to tell people to pass one up.

Product not received and charged $103.91 on my Visa - April 29
I ordered a free 30 day trial of magicjack on the internet March 30/2010 On March 31, $4.13 (the price from the internet).was taken from my Visa account No magic jack was ever received After 3 weeks, I called and asked that my account be cancelled.
On April 29 an additional $103.91 was taken from my Visa account..
I want it put back in because i had no product to try. I have read their customer complaints, most of which portray Magic Jack as a scam Some American customerswere satisfied with it

lousy service/no service
Bought magicjack after reviewing info on their web site for quite a while. To be fair, we got it mainly because my son overseas with the army in Italy had it and it was terrific, worked great. We got it and my husband installed it. During the installation he was convinced to sign up immediately for 5 yrs of service. It was a good buy on the surface.
At no time and no where on their site or literature did it state that you cant use it with a sattelite internet connection. My husband told them our provider was hughesnet and it is a sattelite internet provider. Instead of the 30 days free they advertise we were charged over $100.00 immediately. When we tried to use it the connection was terrible. I could understand the other person intermittently but they couldnt hear me at all.
Then came the real nightmare. Their live chat is a lie, I tried for hours and couldnt get anyone online. There is no phone number to call, kind of ironic? When I tried to sign on at their site they didnt recognize my e mail or password. I have tried repeatedly to find a way to contact them to no avail. I cant resell it if I cant contact them. I guess as long as conditions are ideal it might work but if there is any problem you are screwed, there is no customer service at all. I dont think the chance is worth the potential disaster.
Next step the attorney generals office.

got stuck with 205 area code
I tried out a magicjack but when i tried to register it online with my 707 are code, I got a message from their server: "server failed... try later" . But it did in fact register me but gave me area code of 205 instead of the one i requested 707. i spent 3 hours with their tech support but they will not let me change the area code to the correct one without paying $4.95. I did not do anything wrong and refused. i returned the unit.

MagicJack is not good phone service
MagicJack is not good phone service. Don't be fooled into changing your phone number. I did and now I often can't receive or make calls.
I've spent hours with tech service. They have tried everything. (I have a new computer and everything is right with it.) After hours with MagicJack's chat customer service (the only one they offer) there's no longer a robot-like sound repeating my every word. Now it just cuts off calls or I can hear the other person say, "Hello? Hello?" and they can't hear me at all. It is the most unreliable, frustrating phone service ever.
A total rip off that you pay a year in advance for! After you change your phone number and find out if doesn't work.

This product is one piece of junk
I purchased Magicjack approx. 4 months ago.Have had nothing but problem. Sometimes works most times NOT. Voices cut in and out or person can'there me on other end. This product is one piece of JUNK!
