I purchased a Blackberry in February, 2009 and proceeded to send in my old ATT Tilt cell phone in to Market Velocity for Blackberry's Trade-up Program. I sent in the phone, case and charger and complied with all the rules. Once the phone was received by Market Velocity, they informed me that the phone was "dead". I responded that the battery was probably dead and all they had to do was plug it in with the enclosed charger and see that the phone is fine. They continue to reply that the phone is worth nothing and if I want it back, I have to provide them with a FedEx account number or my credit card number. I certainly am not going to provide them with something they can use to charge to me, so I am out of a nice, working phone with no real recourse.
