I had booked a Swift Dzire through Automotive Manufacturers Pvt Ltd, Navi Mumbai on 9/9/2009. A cheque of Rs 50, 000 was also issued along with the booking and I was assured the best service and periodic updates on when I could expect the delivery of the vehicle. As a first time buyer of the vehicle, this was heartening to hear.
As the delivery date drew closer, I was told about a delay in delivery. When I asked for an explaination, there said that there was some transportation issue due to which all cars have been delayed. They said that my car was showing up for dispatch on 15/10/2009 post which the entire process would take 8- 10 days. On 15th October, after repeatedly calling the representative (Mr Chetan and Mr Kiran), I was informed that the cars have not been dispatched.
On wanting an explaination the sales persons dont have any valid explaination for the delay or do they have an idea of the tentative date by which I could expect the delivery.
All this has left a very sour taste in the mouth. A reputed company like Maruti is accepting large sums of money from consumers, making pot loads of money as interest and not delivering vehicles.
Please do not book any Maruti cars (especially at Automotive Manufacturers Pvt Ltd, Navi Mumbai) and waste your hard earned money waiting for your car. There are enough options in the market that you can consider.
