My first time at Maxene on Broadway and 94th Street will be my last. When I got the bill, I was surprised to see that they have charged me 50% above the listed price for my blouses and dress.

When I pointed it out, she claimed that my dress and blouses have lots of pleats / lace and therefore difficult to clean. In my 10 years of going to dry cleaning I have never heard that pleats / lace in clothing costs 50% more to clean and more importantly these information was not disclosed to me when I dropped off my clothes. Not only she refused to adjust the bill, she was very rude and told me not to drop off right before opening / closing of the store!

Then when I got home and unpacked my dry cleaning, I found out that they have lost a lace piece in my blouse.

This store not only has ripped me off but has very poor customer service and not responsible. Please beware.
