purchased my neptune front loader..model #mah5500bww in March, 2005..had to have it repaired with a new brain board 2 weeks after purchase now the high spin bearing is going, ; was told it would cost 700 .00 to have it repaired.That is about as much as I payed for it.was told that Maytag would give either 15% off of a new one or 1/2 half off of the defected part if I got it repaired... still leaving me a total of the balance to pay .this machine is a lemon and I feel like that it should have never been sold till all the kinks were ironed out. I am retired and live on a fixed income.with every thing else going up don't know what people like us is going to do.I don't have the funds now to buy a new one ; also with the drought I have had to have a new well drilled so was happy to hear that this washer was suppose to save me water that is why I purchased it..
