McDonald's Reviews

Food made me sick!
3 consecutive times now I have gotten sick just minutes after eating at this particular Mcdonald's in Pine Grove Pa. I stop there every now and then and during the day it seems alright. I don't get sick. At night is another story. 3 consecutive times now that I have fallen ill after eating there. The first 2 times I just dismissed it as coincidence, but not after the 3rd time.

One thing I have noticed different from day to night is the staff. The staff at night is all young kids, including the manager. 18 yrs old at best. Being kids I could only imagine what they might be doing to the food. I find it very surprising there are no older employees there. At least one to watch over them. Kids... that's all they are.

I think someone should inspect and investigate this particular restaurant some night when all the kids are working. I can't recall what days these 3 incidents happened. I can tell you the last incident happened on a Friday night. It's just a disgrace that they hire all kids and put them on the same shift with no apparent adult supervision. Come on now, kids for managers...

Total disregard for customer safety caused by neglect of promises!
My husband and I went through Drive Thru 07.03.08 around 6:00pm to pick up supper. I had a drink in the holder I needed to put in the garbage to make room for the drinks we just ordered. I step out of the vehicle on the passenger's side while we were at the Second Drive Thru window and slipped and fell on the ice immediately landing half way under my vehicle on my right side on the ice. By the way I was wearing my Columbia Winter boots with good grip soles that were of no help. Why put a garbage can in Drive Thru if you don't plan on maintaining the grounds to prevent valuable customers from injuring themselves. To top it all off they couldn't remember to put the nugget sauce for my 4 yr old in the bag. I contacted the Manager working and he took my name and phone number down but that's it. How long do you think it will take them to fix their icy Drive Thru conditions or respond to this complaint. I used to work at McDonald's and this was never allowed to happen. Customer safety was #1. However this is not the case in Kenora, ON McDonald's.

Filthy store and rude employees and soggy burgers
We love the fries at McDonalds' so we went to the store to order our food. First of all we were charged a $1.30 for a cup of water. Then the girl came back and told me that she didn't charge me for the fries, she said I owed her $1.96 more for the fries. I paid her and waited for our food and waited and waited and waited some more. Finally it came, then I wished it hadn't. The burgers weren't good, they were cold and soggy. My husband brought his home for our dog. I didn't eat mine either. We won't be going back to that McDonald's again.

Terrible treatment of customers and employees!
While new corporate management is more concerned with profit, below is how the effects trickle down: Labor is affected... less and less of it means poor service and less cleanliness... means mgrs and crew work harder to give worse service...Fast food? Near impossible when a min of 9 transactions per each working person is the standard (regardless of how large each transaction is... means, an order with a Big Mac rates the same as an order for 50 Big Macs in regards to labor!)...
Profitability is so desired that issues of poor equipment and it's maintenance is also down-played... one store recently had earth worms burrowing up from under the lobby counter and happily living in the ice machine for over two months! While regular cleaning did not resolve the problem, it took an internal whistle blower to get the problem properly looked at and fixed! If you leave this corporation with multiple complaints of poor treatment and support, complaints that you can no longer work in an environment that does not appreciate it's crew or customers... well, don't bother calling HR and asking for intervention... "there's a new sheriff in town and people are a dime a dozen"... and even if you earned a bonus during the past quarter, if you quit (even with the requested proper notice)... you will never see your earned bonus... I guess if McDonald's needs the money earned, not easily by the mgr, then I hope they are happy with spending my money... while minimum wages went up, and dollar menus were only slightly effected the higher corporate officials are not suffering a pay cut... so the money to keep things across the board as "normal as possible" has to come out of labor and I guess cheating their own by not giving what was earned and promised... so much for them... I'll never spend another dollar at any of them!

Poor customer service!
I ordered some food from there for me and my kids and the employee named nikki was very rude to me. She had an attitude, eyes looked like she was on some drugs, and she threw my food and change to me. I really don't appreciate this service. I am a regular customer and should be treated with respect. I will no longer eat there until i feel comfortable with some better service!

Being rude and calling customer liars!
Manager was rude and called me a liar. Cashier took my order and items were missing, i.e. (medium drink, fries, and sweet & sour sauce). When I told the cashier that items were missing she told me, "no they are not". then went and got the manager. When I told the manager that items were missing he RUDELY asked for my receipt..saw that the items were not there and asked the cashier to make it right. The cashier got the cup for the medium drink and the fires. When she picked up the cup for the drink she put her fingers inside the cup. I then told the manager to get me another cup and told him what she had done. He told me "She does not do that", and asked me to show him what she did. I showed him and he said "her fingers are clean, that cup is fine". I told him no it is not and to get me a new one. He refused so I then stuck my hands back in the cup and crushed it and told him that not getting me a clean cup is against health policy in any restaurant. He finally got me another cup and then tried to charge me $1.30 for the new cup. I told him "Stick up your butt, I am not paying for something that is not my fault". I then noticed that I had not gotten my sweet & sour sauce and I asked for that. The manager then told me "We are out". I saw that they had two FULL tubes of it where the cashiers pick up the wrapped burgers under the warmers. If this is how McDonald's is ran, then you can rest assured that I will never go back! Edgewood is a small town... word gets around. With Moriarty only being 8 miles away, word will spread there too. I am now going to the papers and filing a complaint with the health board and anyone else that will hear what I have to say. I know I cannot close all the McDonald's all over the country, but the two here in Edgewood and Moriarty New Mexico will be okay by me. We need a sonic anyway!

Poor food!
Sunday, January 6, 2008 my husband, my grandson and myself went to the McDonald's located at 5084 Summer Avenue to order breakfast for ourselves and to order two meals to go for grandparents. There were several people in line and only one girl on the register who obviously could have cared less about waiting on the customers. Some orders were finally brought out after a very long wait and those orders were burned and had to be cooked again. My order of the deluxe breakfast looked as if it had been in a war zone when I opened the food to eat. The eggs were literally thrown all over the pancakes and sausage and burned. I opened one of the sandwiches and it was not the bagel, egg and cheese biscuit that I ordered. I took it back to the counter where the girl argued with me that I had ordered something different. Other people were shaking their heads as they had heard me place the order. My husband had already finished eating when I finally got my sandwich. The girl was extremely rude to all customers. As we were leaving, one man finally received his food after standing in line for 15 minutes. As we were walking out the door, another customer came forward with her sandwich and told the girl the food was burned. The girl got a bad attitude with her. I thought you would like to check the situation out at this particular McDonald's. In my opinion, with this type treatment, the restaurant will not survive much longer.

No apology!
Lat night I went through the drive thru at the local McDonald's... and let me just say that I am one unhappy customer. The female working the drive thru window handed me my drink and apparently the lid had not been put on correctly and the drink spilled all over my shirt, my pants and on the interior of my car. I understand that accidents happen, but to my surprise it is what followed after the spill. Instead of apologizing and recognizing that the drink spilled she looked at me and said do you need napkins?... Do I need napkins! A few minutes later she returned with about 30 napkins and still did not apologize. As I was cleaning the mess I noticed 2 employees watching me and laughing..this is where I begin to lose my cool! The girl that spilled the drink came back to the window and asked me if there was something else I needed... At this point I informed her that first an apology for spilling the drink would be nice and secondly how rude it was for her employees to be laughing. I let her know that I would be calling her supervisor first thing in the morning. What happened to customer service? Is this how McDonald's trains their employees? I am disgusted with the level of customer service and I will make sure that this goes through the proper chain of command so that next time an accident happens their employees will know how to make it right! From the beginning all I wanted was an apology, maybe McDonald's should add that to their handbook! Burger King sounds good right about now... maybe they have compassion for their customers.

Hygiene
Went to this McDonald's which is inside the Walmart. I was in line with my mother and my child. My mother ordered first, then as I was getting ready to order a Male came up from behind and began giving his order.. and the cashier took it.. which was the first complaint. I thought it was quite rude.
Then, when it was finally "my turn" she tells me it's going to be a few m inutes becasue she is the only one there and she has to go make all the food. (There was no one else in line behind me.. ??_) Fine.
I waited a little while and went up to the counter and she greeted me as though she had never seen me before, asked if she could take my order then proceeded to plop an empty fry basket on the counter, and as I was ordering she was filling it with frozen french fries. Now there had been people leaning on the counter, babies were sitting on the counter, and Lord only knows what else the counter had been exposed to. She put the fries in the grease and I didn't ea the french fries that came with my meal. Pure lack of hygiene and food preparation protocol.

Incompetent employees!
I am so fed up with going through a 10 minute question and answer period everytime I order something at McDonalds. As soon as we pull up to the drive through or walk up to the counter, they are asking us if we want something in particular. We have to stop and say "No, thank you"... and then tell them what we want. They, then, have to ask if we want something added to the items that we have ordered, by the time we get the food it is ALWAYS wrong. It has gotten so that we try to guess what they got wrong on the order.

This morning, the trip to McDonald's went something like this...

"Welcome to McDonalds, would you like to try... (something unintelligible)..."...

"NO, thank you, I'd like a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit, a hash brown and a big breakfast."

"Ok, you want a sausage and egg biscuit with cheese, a hash brown and a Deluxe big breakfast with pancakes?"

"NO, I just want the big breakfast and the sausage egg and cheese biscuit and a hash brown. And that will be all, thank you."

"Would you like a coffee or anything to drink with that?"

NO, thank you, that will be it."

We got a big breakfast, and an egg and cheese biscuit and a hash brown. NO sausage. We have yet to get an order from that particular McDonalds that is right. They always leave something off or give us something that we did not order. And we aren't always at leisure to check the bag before we drive away or can't always take it back to be corrected.

If the management would train the employees to listen instead of ask questions, they might get an order right once in awhile.
