Fraudulent business activities
Med1 sold our spinal decompression machine 6 months ago and I still have not received payment. They also say they lost my file so they can't tell me who bought my machine. Dan Smith, president of Med1Online, told me they don't have any money and can't pay me for my machine even though they already sold it. I have contacted Better Business Bureau. This company has essentially stolen my machine.

Unauthorized charges
I ordered a medical equipment from med1online.com in January. they withdrew $341 from my credit card in the same day that I ordered but they did not send the item. Then, after seeing that they would not send it after 2 months, I canceled my order in March 18, 2009. when I wanted to refund, they said, the refunding process requires 1 or 2 month billing cycle. I said OK and I started waiting till I saw the announcement on their web site saying that they terminated their operations. I shocked!!! and now I don't know what to do. Actually, after reading other similar emails, my lost is not huge but nevertheless it bothers me.

Never ship the items ordered. Never refund
From 12 of November 2008 I paid 1640.49 American Dollars for a Chattanooga ultrasound electrotherapy unit and never received. Every month from Jannuary 2009 Susanne Carson and Scott Carson apologized and promised to refund the money but never did it.

Dear all,
what is going on with you? Today 29 of May 2009 and you did not refund yet! Every time I call you, you apologize and promise you refund in a month. What are you thinking about? Do you want me to write negative comments about you at the internet? I hesitate to be bad, but sometimes I must. Please refund me 1640, 49 American Dollars Now!

Dear all, it is already February 26 2009. What is going on with the order? Please if the item is not available return the money to the account you already have.

Nicos, I apologize for the continuing back order status of your order. As stated on our website most orders ship in 7-10 business days after an order has been processed. But, in order to provide our customers with the lowest prices we do not stock all items in our warehouse, instead we have them drop shipped directly from the manufacturer to you. Occasionally these distributors and manufacturers tell us that the availability of a product has been delayed and/or there is only an estimated shipping date which can result in extreme delays for us and our customer. At this time we are working with the manufacturer trying to expedite the ship date for your order. Your request is top priority for us and we will contact you with an update as soon as we receive it.

Again, I apologize for the delay in fulfilling your order.

Dear all,

it is difficult to believe you. As you see below the order was ready to ship from November. Now you say: the estimated ship date for your order # 128432 is 2/13/2009. This is not good business. You have the money from November and I will have the item god now's when. Are you a criminal site?

I want to have good business with you and I want you to be honest.

Hello Michelle, Any news about the order?

No customer service
I was assigned by a group of doctors working in Africa to purchase some medical equipments for a new children's clinic being set in in rural west Africa to care for a population of about 20000 needy children. I used the internet to search for the best deals I could find. In total I was given $20, 000usd. Whilst searching, I came across med1online and sunk into their trap.

I transfered over half of that money$12000 to med1online over a month ago. Since that day, nobody from has called or emailed me. Whits trying to extract payment, Penny Murdoch called me several times. She promised to let me have ship dates as soon as she got payment. When I didn't hear from her to confirm the money had hit their account, I called. No answer, then email. It took at least 3 days to get a reply saying yes but no ship dates yet. My reply from her also came re :spam. My email had been filtered to her spam box.

2weeks later, still nothing. Several emails phone calls during which they would just put the phone down on me or put me through to a voicemail, I was told the bulk of goods would ship on the 27th of march. These were simple items that do not require 6 weeks to order. I accepted the date. Up till now, no further information. No ship date, no goods, no feedback. I have left SEVERAL messages for Dam Smith who has never returned my calls.

We have had to pay for storing the other items at the shippers whist we wait on med1online. I have receipts of the transaction and copies of the bank transfer. Similar items from another company have since been shipped with no hassle whatsoever.

Penny says she sends me several emails but I just don't get them. When I ask her to resend, she will disappear. They now say the storm has disrupted shipment. The storm has since cleared but nothing. Besides, the goods didn't come Denver.

Nobody takes $12000 and keeps mum. They have to tell me regularly why my order is taking so long. The website said 5days. They company that makes the main items say 5 days. Why is it med1online that takes 10 weeks? They took our money happily and wont dignify me with answers. Yes we are poor African, but surely we are allowed to want something better for our children?

I read to my dismay their antics on this website and am appalled they are allowed to continue doing business. I know exactly what these people have been through as I am currently going through the same.

The money I was given in trust was put together by doctors on small salaries over a year. This is a humanitarian gesture. Med1online has taken money meant to save lives of poor African children. The blood of each child who dies will forever be on their hands. I will pursue this matter till my last breathe. Anyone with further info or advice please contact me. Refund the money or deliver the goods Miss Penny and Dan and co!!

HORRIBLE MED1ONLINE RIPOFF-NOTHING IS AS AGREED, MACHINE IS NOT WORKING, PARTS ARE MISSING OR BROKEN
Hi! I just bought a machine from Med1Online and I went through Horror with them!
Read my story below:

I am Gaby, an aesthetician writing form Hungary.
My machine arrived after like 6 weeks (I was in contact with Med1 for like 2 months!!!)
Before I paid for the item I was treated like a princess!!! After we discussed all terms and everything about the machine I payed for it.. That was the mistake of my life. I saved up all that money and I worked very very hard for years to afford such a machine a machine of my dreams... After I did the payment I had nobody talk with me like I am a valued customer. I was begging to the voicemail to somebody anybody call me back! Ok there was one guy that I could talk to after several tries and been put on hold but still he had basically no power to help me. There were times when I could talk to Scott Carson on the phone, but only until I did the payment. After ??? NOTHING!!! Just a lovely voicemail all the time.. Me myself, worry too much. After I payed I felt that I do worry, since the money is out of my hands and I can just hope that the goods will be in the box.. As you see I did worry for a reason...

I did not get a tracking number from shipping company that worked. The shipping company could not tell me where the goods were... I got all confusing informations...They basically messed up my invoice, so I had to pay more for duties and taxes than I should. YES I had to go to the bank and get credit (credit in Hungary is extremely expensive!!!)) quickly so I could at least pay for the duties so I would recieve something!!! As I am an aesthetician in Hungary wanted to offer laser hair removal and spider vein treatment to complement IPL that we have. To offer more service to compensate the economy being down with a treatment that does work and effective.

SO the pack arrived...When I opened the pack I see this: THE HANDPIECE AND THE ACCESSORIES OF THE LASER WERE MISSING, THE HANDPIECE THAT CAME WITH THE MACHINE WAS BROKEN, SAFETY GLASSES BROKEN!!! So now I have a laser that is not working, I have a company MED1ONILE THAT GOT BANKRUPT AND I WAS PROMIESD 90 DAYS WARRANTY THAT NOW IS ALSO GONE... OF COURSE I got all the nice pictures what will I recieve and the reality is just shocking... When I opened the crate and unpacked everything that was the biggest shock in my life.
I was literally thinking about jumping out of the 4th floor. I was close to be having a heart attack. And you know what???? They knew they will be out of business when we made the deal and they still did this to me. This is just so mean!!! I feel all what I was working for is just gone...
Of course I had just recieved some news... I found out that MED1ONLINE made me pay double the cost of shipping. Like how?? Like this: I got an info that the shipping company figured that MED1 is going bankrupt so somebody have to pay them.. They wanted me to pay for their shipping cost..and to compare to what MED1 gave me it was just the half the cost.. I TELL YOU THESE ARE CRIMINALS!!! I am sorry to write such nasty language but you know what?? How would you feel if YOU were in my place??? DOOMED!!

I wish SCOTT CARSON TO GO TO HELL!!!

PLEASE ANYBODY WHO HAD SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH MED1 PLEASE NOTIFY ME, TELL ME YOUR STORY. I DO WANT TO KNOW HOW THINGS WORKED OUT...

THANK YOU!

fraud and dishonesty
I purchased a used Luxar L20i medical laser on May 14, 2008. The laser was advertised on eBay to be in “excellent condition” with a “new tube, ” and “reconditioned and guaranteed to function to manufacturer specifications on arrival, ” with a “90-Day Warranty” complete with an “Owner’s Manual.” See enclosed.

eBay described the seller as having “100% positive feedback, ” being a member since July 13, 2005.

The laser wasn’t ready when I ordered it, although my VISA card was immediately debited. I was given various excuses, including that the laser was “getting a new tube at LuxarCare” during the two months it took to ship my laser. I have since learned from LuxarCare that LuxarCare has never serviced my laser.

I had the laser shipped to Oxnard, California where is was then placed, still in its shipping crate, in a pallet crate of soft goods, and shipped to Christchurch, New Zealand.

The pallet crate arrived undamaged, with the laser carefully packed inside the soft goods in its own crate, which was also undamaged.

When I attempted to start the laser, it displayed fault “6” every time. I was assured, previous to purchase, that the laser would work with New Zealand 50hz mains power (converted from 240v to 120v). When I contacted MED 1 ONLINE, Doug Kath, a technician, told me that fault “6” meant that there was a problem with the tube, or the internal operation of the laser, and not the mains power.

I complained that I wasn’t given an operator’s manual, and they said they would send me one. They offered no other help, other than they were going to check to see if their warranty covered me in New Zealand.

Later, a laser repairman in Auckland, a two hour flight away, said he may be able to do something if he had a service manual. I was told by Doug Kath, at MED 1 ONLINE that a service manual couldn’t be sent to me because of “copyright issues.”

Then MED 1 ONLINE suddenly fell silent. They wouldn’t respond to my emails, and when I called, I only got voice mail. I never had a response from these voice mail messages. When I asked the operator to take a written message, she absolutely refused.

I began to realize that I was dealing with a company that wouldn’t honor its commitments. I had to start all over to find another laser, and decided to return the laser to MED 1 ONLINE. My email stating that I was planning to do this resulted promptly in the only phone call, ever, from MED 1 ONLINE, Genessa saying that they would not accept my laser, and that if it arrived they would just store it, and charge me for storing it.

A series of emails and phone calls followed, where various positions were taken and fictitious statements were made by MED 1 ONLINE. I was told that the Warranty I signed didn’t cover the laser in a foreign country. I asked for a copy of the Warranty I supposedly signed, they wouldn’t send it to me.

These phone conversations became progressively hostile and threatening. They would say one thing, and then contradict themselves later. They laughed at me. I was transferred from one person to the next, until I finally got voice mail. My calls were never returned.

Melinda at LuxarCare (where I was told my laser had been refurbished with a new tube) told me that my laser (serial number, bar code) had never been seen by LuxarCare. Melinda called Penny Murdoch, supervisor at MED 1 ONLINE, and found out that my laser was last serviced in January, 2006.

Repeated emails and telephone calls were made to MED 1 ONLINE to attempt to get the maintenance records for my laser. I was told they would be forthcoming, but had to be “summarized.” I was told it was serviced at “ISP, ” but when I repeatedly asked for more information on that company, because I couldn’t find it on the net, they wouldn’t tell me. I believe that “ISP” does not exist.

I was told at various times by MED 1 ONLINE that they wouldn’t receive the laser if I returned it, that it worked when they sent it, and that I bought it “as is.” I was told at another time that if I shipped it back to MED 1 ONLINE (at my expense) they would take a look at it and repair it, and I would have to pay the bill, whatever the cost. There would be no guarantee as what the price would be for repairs. But, they would not give me an authorization to return the laser. After this repeated nonsense, I suspected the integrity of MED 1 ONLINE, and decided not to send it back to them.

In summary, I bought a laser on eBay from MED 1 ONLINE which was described as being in “excellent condition” with a “new tube” and was guaranteed to be in working condition when delivered, a 90-Day warranty, and with accessories including an Owner’s Manual.

I received a laser that wouldn’t work (fault 6), without an Owner’s Manual (although I was twice promised that it was mailed, it has never arrived) and the laser was dirty with the accumulated grunge of long use.

I don’t believe the laser was “reconditioned” or even worked when it was shipped, it wasn’t even cleaned, and was sold inoperable to me as someone who was overseas and wouldn’t be able to do anything about it.

I notice that MED 1 ONLINE still sells on EBAY, and on the net I read that MED 1 ONLINE has done the same sort of thing to other purchasers.

MED 1 ONLINE fraudulently sold me an old, worn-out, broken laser rather than the advertised product I purchased. And they repeatedly treated me very badly.

I am now out several thousands of dollars and so far away that they know there is nothing I can do.

Stawy Away from Med1Online
This by far is the worst nightmare I, ve ever experienced in dealing with a business! Run from med1online. I think they, ve literally stolen a DRX9000 lumbar decompresion unit (95K new), and 2 vectra genesis EMS units. They, ve had my equipment for over one year without securing any reasonable buyers to purchase it. Their dirty little strategy is to hold your equipment long enough and beat you down to the point that you throw up your hands and just give it away. Two months ago they offered to buy my DRX 9000 for a pitence 20K. I'm still begging for the payment and getting the royal run around...excuses, lies, unanswered phone calls. I, m on the verge of filing both civil and criminal suit over this outrageous behavior. I've simply asked Scott Carson at med1online for my money or the return of my equipment, and have been IGNORED!
RobbedByMed1Online February 4, 2009
Med1Online CANNOT BE TRUSTED
Based on my experience, if you attempt to buy or sell a machine through Med1Online: a) it will not sell for anywhere near what they represent, b) there will be significant additional charges which were never disclosed, c) the equipment will be damaged and unusable when it arrives, d) they will not be competent to service or repair the damage but will nonethelesss demand payments, e) you will pay thousands of dollars to repair damage they did to your table, f) they will file your insurance claim and keep the money, g) the entire matter will end up with attorneys, resulting in a massive legal fees. Med1Online is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. Their president, Dan Smith, as well as Scott Carson cannot be relied upon or trusted. They will say whatever is necessary to get your business, including outright lies, and then will ignore calls and emails. In my particular case, which is similar to many other online complaints I've read, the equipment is sloppily shipped and arrives heavily damaged and inoperable. Med1Online claims to have insurance but will not submit your claim and keep the money. I know this sounds unbelievable; if I hadn't personally experienced this I never would have believed a company could operate with this level of deceit and dishonesty. I have documentation of emails, phone conversations, and legal correspondence. Dan Smith and Med1Online are to be avoided at all costs. It would be utter foolishness to deal with this company. Believe nothing that this company represents.
ScammedByMed1Online December 12, 2008
HORRIBLE DISHONEST COMPANY - AVOID
Med1Online is the most dishonest and unprofessional company I have ever encountered. Calls are emails are ignored, commitments and obligations are broken, and their representatives are deceitful and untrustworthy. In my case, among other things, the equipment was damaged and inoperable when it arrived, they were unresponsive for months while demanding lease payments. To compound matters, when they finally do respond they simply tell you whatever you want to hear in order to buy themselves more time. It is the most incredible thing I have ever experienced - They have cost me tens of thousands of dollars and in spite of my attempting to deal professionally with them, they are now attempting to shift liability to me. I quesion how much longer they will be in business. Do not believe a word they say; I have never been lied to or treated with more disrespect in 30 successful professional years. This has been going on since November 2007, and as of 2009, major legal action against Med1Online is likely pending.
