I contacted Merchant One to set up a merchant account to process credit cards for a new online business. They approved the business on a Thursday, and we processed credit cards for 3 days. Total sales were about $1, 300.00
When I did not see the credit card receipts posted to my account, i contacted Merchant One to learn that my account was being held for a "random review". The funds would be released once I provided information such as shipping details and a bank statement. When I reminded them that this was a new business I was told to just submit the invoices and proof of delivery, which I did. A week later, i still did not get my funds released. Finally i received a call that said my funds would be held in reserve for 90 to a 180 days and the account would be closed. Why this company processed in the first place is beyond me. NO ONE SHOULD USE THIS COMPANY !!! IT IS A SCAM.
