My experience with Meritage Corporation. Warning, do not give the earnest money to the builder. Take your time. Investigate the builder. I wanted to share what I went through with Meritage Corporation and their ratings.

These are tough times and I need my earnest money back.

The Meritage Corporation has a “F” rating with the Better Business Bureau on a scale from A to F.10 failure to responded to complaints. 6 complaints not resolved.

Yolanda stated that this company was a good company and will give my earnest money back. Well they didn’t.
It’s called Co-Mingling when I wrote the check to the builder Meritage Homes not the lending company.

Filled out credit application for 1st time home buyer. I did not qualify. Was denied credit. Meritage declined distribution back to me of my $500.0 earnest money.

Realtor: Bamboo leasing.com Jay Bradley 281-221-5809 866-264-0608 ext. 710 Nice guy. I have not heard from him nor did he help getting my earnest money back. Only showed me three house.
