Mexican Embassy Reviews

Armando909 July 31, 2009
Demanded paperwork which according to website is unnecessary
Their website states that you need three things:
1. birth certificate
2. Official Identification
3. Proof of Residency

So I go at 4 in the morning and pay fees for parking, copies, etc. to the amount of $18 and wait in line for god knows how long. Signs everywhere repeat what the website said, that i needed a birth certificate, ID, proof of residency. I finally get up there and they say they need Proof of American Citizenship. I was there to get a MEXICAN PASSPORT not an American one, why would I need proof of American Citizenship? They said some mumbo jumbo about it being a new requisite. I ask, why was it not written on the posters they had, they said it was new. I asked to talk to a supervisor and asked them why did I need something that neither the website nor posters said, he said, "It's because you're a special case." A special case? Everyone was there to do the same thing as me. I said, well I must be a Martian then and left.
