MLEA was founded in 2011 by respected Occupational Therapist, Vanessa Aitken. Her initial focus centered on delivering well-reasoned, resilient and fair medicolegal opinions. Her approach of impartiality under all circumstances and her 30+ years of clinical practice, quickly established her widespread reputation for high-quality expert clinical opinions, supporting fair settlements nationwide.
As demand grew for her services, Vanessa added more specialists to the team. Covering everything from respiratory disease, to spinal injuries, to whiplash, infants to old age. Understanding clients need 100% reliability from their medicolegal reports, Vanessa built a team of highly qualified clinicians. All of whom she has personally trained in medicolegal practice. This is rare, as generally, great clinicians do not have medicolegal specialization.
MLEA’s backbone is therefore built on objectivity, reliability, knowledge, fairness, and credibility. Recognizing this strength and uniqueness, our clinical practice has naturally expanded to deliver our specialization into other areas, such as NDIS, workplace, community and finance.
