I couple of weeks ago, I received a phone call from a modaphone telemarketing person, offering me better rates for long distance calls, especialy to Romania where we have our family. I used to be a customer of PowerNet.com. The person from Modaphone, provided me with a phone number where I should call to activate my account with them after 3 days, no suporting info or relation for how long you have to stay with them. I just received two bills: one from the old company, and one from Modaphone, however we did not make any phone calls back to Romania, the bills containes a lot of tax fees, for a service which was not delivered; we found out today we cannot get out from this deal, unless we used them for at least 3 month, plus is a penalty fees of $20.00. Unfortunately we cannot get out from the deal, plus we cannot use the old company for long distance calls, because we are trasnfered to Modaphone.
I consider that is a scam company, using telemarketers who speek your language, and abusing the good faith of clients.
