National Association Professional Women Reviews

Anita Gibson April 3, 2009
Sales deception
Spokesperson who called me interviewed me to assure I was qualified to join their organization. She then told me I was qualifed and starting telling me they were going to "profile" me in their periodical and all the benefits I will receive from the organization. She then started quoting the "elite" memership fees -over $700...I said I couldn't afford that and she continued to tell me how I would benefit from it. She asked if it was budgetary issues, I said yes. She then said she could put me in the "preferred" group and upgrade me later. I was reluctant and she asked if it was still budgetary...I said yes and she asked me if I knew who they were. I said I still couldn't afford it. After much coaxing, and I rejected, she said she could put me in the "Standard" membership and upgrade me laer. That was over $200 and I did not know what to say so I asked if I could call her back...she kept avoiding the question and continued with her sales speech. I said I was going to have to hang up...she was still talking ...I hung up and didn't agree to anything.
