I purchased a cell phone and accepted the "Device Protection" for $49.99. Come to find out when I tried to make a claim, that this is not insurance from the carrier and in fact a majority of the ways your phone could get lost or damaged are not covered. The real issue is that none of this is explained up front when you make the purchase, it is only referred to under "What Circumstances Are Not Covered" after the fact. Do your research. This is a total scam.
