Refused Credit for No Access to Service
The Playstation Network was down again during the first week of June and Netflix arrogantly refused to credit my account for the days I was unable to stream movies through my Playstation to a TV. They claimed that since their network was up, they're giving no one credit or any other form of compensation. Although a credit would be a few cents worth, it's a poor reflection on Netflix's customer service to refuse offering some gesture for those unable to make use of their service while Playstation Net was down. Even a free extra DVD rental offer would have been kind. I'm very disappointed with how Netflix chose to handle this with loyal, long-term customers.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with Netflix due to the Playstation Network outage?

Mailed DVDs
Netflix should not be allowed to send out so many unwatchable DVDs. Out of the last 10 DVDs by mail that I have recieved...4 were unwatchable. Netflix should have a dept that actualy looks at these dics before sending them out to paying customers. WARNING...if you are going to use a DVD movie rental company...don't pick Netflix!!!

Stupidity
How can Netflix be so ignorant?!? We purchased a 3D Tv and 3D Blu Ray player and spent 7 days which turned out to be a total waste of time. It took two players, 2 cables, three trips to the store only to find out, through VIZIO, thankfully and finally, that gee, Netflix 3D moves really aren't 3D. You think it would be very simple for them to state that.

Just because of their ignorance or whatever you want to call it, we're discontinuing our service, immediately. So... I called Netflix and guess what, "We don't actually say they are in 3D." What the heck's with that. They don't say they aren't!

Bad, Netflix... bad, bad, bad.

NON DELIVERY OF DVDS
NETFLIX SAID THEY SENT A DISK ON MAY 10, IT HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED AND NEITHER HAVE ANY OF THE REPLACEMENTS. I HAVE MISSED A WEEK AND ONEHALF LOOKING AT DVDS BUT THEY HAVE CONTINUED TO CHARGE MY ACCOUNT. THEY ARE DISCOURTEOUS, AND ARE PUTTING THE BLAME ON THE POSTOFFICE. I CANNOT THINK THE POSTOFFICE HAS MISSED MY MAILBOX FOR 6 DAYS.

Billing Options
Ive been a member of Netflix for about 5 years till now. I received an email notification telling me my automatic payment didnt go through and i need to update my payment option ( credit card).

I signed on to my account, entered my credit card information and submitted, came back declined. "reason" Netflix no longer accepts prepaid debit cards as payment. First, this is not a "debit card " rather, a credit card issued from my bank through Master Card.

I checked my credit card account to be sure i wasnt over my limit and i was well below it. Also, i do have a couple other cards issued through Visa, . Im not sure what constitutes a prepaid card vs debit. when i think of a prepaid card, i think of going to local Wal-Mart buying a gift card with a visa logo etc on it.

My Visa Debit card is issued through Social Security and the other card is a paypal master card i use for Ebay and it is directly linked to my checking account. Neither of these cards would work for the same reason, it states they are prepaid debit cards.

my second complaint is the fact that NO WHERE on Netflix's website to they have an email contact link to email there customer support or lodge a complaint. If they DO have one, its realy hidden well. I did call them after i couldnt find an email link and the rep was rather nice. but informed me he was sorry, but there is nothing he could do.

I informed him after 5 years, i wish to close my account. He didnt even try to save me as a costumer, just went ahead and closed my account.

This is what i hate about companies that start out small, they eventually get to a point where they are not hurting for money and want to put tougher rules in place, little do they know, it will harm them. Prior to me writing this i read other "news" website complaining about the same thing with netflix.

I realy enjoyed netflix..for the past year, the only thing i have been ordering is the tv series "star trek voyager" LOL ( im a trekee). I cannot find any other outlest that rent the episodes so im left in limbo now. No worries, Ill purchase the DVD's.

IM sure one day, when this becomes the demise of Netflix ( if it in fact does ), they will be emailing, calling, mailing x-members like myself appologizing for the errors of there ways and plead for us to come back..NOTTTTT.. I never EVER do. I let them know realy fast they had one chance to appease me as a customer, there loss!

Lack of Selection
To be upfront I called Netflix and the customer service was good, the CSA could do anything about my issue so no blame on them.

I looked at watching Jurassic Park 1, 2 and 3 for instant streaming. The first Jurassic Park was released in 1991, that is 20 years ago folks.

For Netflix to be competitive they need to offer a deal and this is not a deal at all when Blockbuster has it for streaming. Just to check I also looked at the original Highlander movie that was released in the late 1980's well it was avalible on Blockbuster and not Netflix, again Netflix needs to get competitive and offer videos to watch as a streaming option within a seasonable amount of time from a movies release date. wow this is bad.
I will build my own dvr to stream Blockbuster movies and cancel my Netflix, just a shameful example of not being competitive. Nextflix also 4 months ago increased their prices and has offered less for the increase expense durring hardtimes.

My grandsons like NETFLIX and may put it on their own credit cards. Please remove it from my Chase card ending in 7838. I no longer use that card: it has been cancelled. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Signed: Maetta Davis
