I got a ticket for an unsafe lane change over a month ago. I've called the Jersey City Municipal Court at 201-209-6700 every week since I got my ticket. Each time I call, I get a busy dial tone. Furthermore, the few opportunities that I've actually gotten through, my ticket was not found in the system!! How am I supposed to plead not guilty when the number I call is busy, and when I do get through (after being on hold for a very long time), I'm told that my ticket was not found, or entered into the system yet. Furthermore, I receive a notice in the mail yesterday saying that I failed to show up in court and have been issued another court date. How am I supposed to show up to court when I can't enter a plea and my ticket is not in THEIR system yet??
