I have a friend who was recently transferred to NJSP. From word of mouth, I found out that they let the security guards there beat the prisoners for no reason and put prisoners in the hole also for no reason. The security guards get away with beating prisoners just because they have the right to because of their position. But that makes them worse than some criminals there. I had gotten in touch with the administrator about my concerns for that and my friend, but of course never got a response. That’s the least they could do, is address someone’s concerns when they are serious about them, as they care about the person incarcerated too. Which is especially aggravating when they shouldn’t be in there in the first place. The least they could do is reply to questions/concerns.
