A La Carte PR Services:
We recognize that many small businesses might recognize the value of public relations, but feel they cannot afford a full-blown media relations campaign or a monthly retainer for an ongoing public relations campaign. To accommodate small businesses, NewmanPR has created an affordable a la carte menu of high-quality public relations services.
Press release writing (including one revision): $300
Media list creation: $250 (this is a one-time charge, and we maintain the list in our online media database, so it is automatically updated with any changes)
Distribution via our desktop email client: $100
If a client purchases the whole $650 package of writing, list development and distribution, the agency will provide free online media monitoring for 30 days and an Excel clip report.
For subsequent releases using an existing list, the agency will write, distribute and monitor for $450.
Releases can be sent either as a white-label product, as if it comes directly from the client, or we can send it as a NewmanPR-branded release, with the agency handling any media responses or queries on behalf of the client.
This is the release-creation process:
1. Client provides information and conducts an interview with one of our coordinators.
2. The writer completes a rough draft that is reviewed/edited by a vice president or senior accounts supervisor.
3. The draft is provided to the client for review.
4. A list is created using the CisionPoint online media database, according to parameters set by the client, and submitted for approval.
5. The draft is revised per client input.
6. The revised version is edited by a VP or the SAS and proofed by staff.
7. A final proof is provided to the client for spelling/grammar corrections only, not content or organization edits.
8. The release is distributed, complete with appropriate website links embedded in the release.
9. Keyword media monitoring is initiated for 30 days.
10. At the end of 30 days, a report is created and provided to the client.
We cannot guarantee pickup of any release because there are many factors that influence whether a press release gets used, such as breaking news events, which are beyond our control. Also, issuing a one-off release typically does not have the impact that an ongoing PR program would have.
I can say that we have a very good track record with media in the cruise, maritime and leisure travel industries because that’s all we do. We can create lists in virtually any business sector, but the greatest success is found in dealing with journalists with whom we have developed relationships.
We do guarantee that our a la carte product will meet the same high standards as the written product we produce for our retainer clients, which has helped establish our credibility among journalists. All written material produced by the agency adheres to Associated Press style and accepted journalistic practices, as well as the basic tenets of good news writing.
