Repairs
Dear Sir,

I am Ajay Chowdhery, working as a Consultant in Hospitality Industry.
I had purchased NOKIA N73ME mobile (IMEI no: 353641013158559) on 18th April 2007.

Since my mobile handset was giving some technical problems as in hanging, slow processing & camera key not working since a few months, I decided to get it checked on an authorized Nokia Care outlet, Global Communication-Janakpuri, as it was under warranty also on Feb 5th 2008.My cell was taken for repair & I was told to check back after a week's time.(job sheet no. 450434038/08402/78)

Now from here my misery started... which is as follows:

5th Feb-2oth Feb:
Visited Global communication twice & called up several times, during this period, but in vain. Finally called up Nokia Careline (on 1800-425-3388), got a complain no as
2-2UK80L & please note first they couldn’t even trace my cell through the job sheet no & IMEI.

On 22 Feb
I visited Global Communication & was offered a SWAP as they said phone could not be repaired ( I believe my phone was lost). On checking the phone in front of the engineer Virender & Sunil I realized it had much more problems than my original phone & hence I declined to take this, it was acknowledged by Virender & Sunil as well. A new job sheet was also not made, as I had not even taken the phone. (I took note of the exchange note, which mentioned the new IMEI for this non-working phone as 356406012155429)

22feb-20th Mar
Again the same ordeal - Calling up Nokia Careline & Global Communications. Now after talking to Infancy, Team Supervisor in Banglore & several others including Ramesh, Team Leader, which was of course of no help, I got number of Manoj Wadhwan, Delhi Area Complaints Manager. Again he was more disappointing than any one else. He never called up, & moreover hardly picked up my phone. After several messages & a few calls, which were answered, I always got his false promises, as he could never keep his words of getting my cell back on a particular date.

ON around 26th march, I did get a cell as SWAP, with IMEI no 358973011018336, but only to realize in 2-3 days that this phone was also not working properly & hanged a lot. On speaking with Manoj, he told me the give back the phone one last time for repairs, so he can get a NEW Working phone for me. Thus I went to the office on 2nd April (as Manoj said he is not in town for a few days & I shall give it for repairs only when he comes back, so he can get it replaced ASAP) On 2nd I got a job sheet no (450434038/080402/78). Since then I am in constant touch with Suresh, Global Communications Owner & Manoj himself but of no use. I haven't got my phone yet.

Also during this time I have spoken to Pramod, complaints manager in Nokia Head office in Okhla & have written some mails to Nokia (through their website) & to Anadita Phukan & Poonam Kaul, their communication manager, but of no use.

Can you help me to get my phone back???

Two weeks ago, exactly Monday April 14th 4:30 pm, I had my new phone ( Nokia 6300 ) and I went to the nearest Nokia Care center for me to transfer the data from my old phone memory card ( Nokia 6600 ) to the new one.
After asking the manager I was told the cost. After paying, I got both my phones. As the new one wasn't charged I charged it. When I opened it .. what was in the memory card...NOTHING!!
I tried everything looking for the data and nothing except for some names was there.
The 2 gegas memory card has 1.9 free space!!!

Thursday, April 17th5:00 pm, I went back explaining what happened. I was told " no! we only transfer contacts and calender!" he said .. so I replied " why wasn't I told that in advance"
As rude as he can be, I was explained that this is just it!!
So I told him I even don't have the calender.. Again!, After asking the manager, I was told transferring the calender will take 2 hours!!!

Couple of days ago I discovered that my memory card is empty and even the contacts appearing are the ones saved on the sim card!!!

I asked both times to speak with the manager or anyone of his back up and I was told he's busy
Both times the custom service agents were rude and aggressive

This is totally unacceptable. I am dealing with a hight respectable place - supposedly - here and I expect nothing but respect.

Received a SMS or email about a NOKIA promo recently? It told you that you have won a lot of money?

IT IS A SCAM.

Please, people. Any un-solicited message saying you have won hundreds of thousands of GBP in a promotion that you haven't even entered is blatantly a lie.

Please do yourselves a favour and ignore it, delete it, take a f**kin picture if you like - just don't send them a 'fee' and expect to hear anything in return and then proceed to call our switchboard (which has NOTHING to do with NOKIA incidently) expecting us to do something about it.

Harrasment by Nokia
Hi There,
I have think Nokia is getting more creative in finding various ways of making money from poor people.
But the question is will this make Nokia rich or lose customers.
Look at this story.
I purchased a Nokia N95 - 8GB from Delhi, India on 29th Feb 2008 and then moved to Sydney last month. I have an HP laptop with Vista Ultimate 64-bit and the latest PC Suite (6.86).
Initially, I had a problem with connecting N95 to the PC Suite on my laptop. Windows crashed on installing PC Suite and gave a blue screen with the error on WUDFRD.sys. I called the Nokia Careline and they didn't the issue (though the issue is all over internet). They advised me to speak to Microsoft for the same.
However, the issue got resolved when i installed Vista SP1.
Which means that Nokia PC Suite does not work with Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit but works with Vista SP1.
Day before yesterday, I found out that Nokia has released a new firmware for N95 - 8GB (version 20) so I tried to update it using the Nokia Software Updater. After downloading the latest software and the firmware from the internet, the Nokia Software Updater crashed saying: "Nokia Service Layer Host Process Has Stopped Working" and the update never happened. I looked up the internet and there are many instances of this problem.
I called the Nokia Careline at 1300 366 733 and to my surprise they said that my internet connection has a problem, though I clearly mentioned that both the firmware and the software update is downloaded from the internet, but he insisted that the server is busy and so I cannot download the update. Really laughable.
He also diagnosed that because I am using Vista SP1, the software is crashing, I should call Microsoft to downgrade to Vista without SP1. Question is… If I downgrade to Vista Ultimate from SP1, I will not be able to connect to the PC Suite. I upgraded to SP1 because of Nokia PC Suite.
However, he advised me to go to the Nokia service center and they will be able to update the software.
Now, this is classic. I reach the Nokia service center and show my mobile and the receipt of purchase. He says it is not covered under warranty because I purchased it India and so I will have to pay $49.50 for the upgrade and he cannot guarantee whether the phone will work after that.
Firstly, the Nokia Software Updater doesn't work from the Nokia site and then they ask us to pay for it. It is a Nokia Phone which is released less than a year and they do not recognise the phone manufactured by them.

This raises a few questions on Nokia's work ethics:
1. Do they test the applications they make available to the public.
2. Do they want us to pay for even their errors which we test as faulty? They should be paying us for testing for them and the inconvenience caused.
3. A phone is only to be used in the county of purchase. If you go abroad, buy a new phone.
If you have faced any similar problems, please share with all of us. I do not think Nokia is listening but we can create our own community to fight against this wrong-doing of Nokia. We buy expensive phones which then are money-minting and money laundering option for Nokia.

inter nets get disconnected
Hi friends can some one solve my problem, is I am using Airtel GPRS {packet data} to connect to internet using Nokia 6300 as modem but since 5 days whenever I connect to net within 3-5 minutes or say after 2-3 pages my net gets disconnected and I have to Re-connect it again to surf

P.S
• Using well since 6 months
• Tried formatting and reinstalling XP
• Installed latest version of PC suite ver 6.86.9.0
• Handset {airtel} network is full towered
• Can make and receive calls with clear voice

I wanted to know is it problem with my handset {nokia 6300}
Or problem with Airtel network

Please help me in solving my problem and ending my frustration
