Unanswered request!
This was a request placed to Nokia 3 months back to change the mobile earphone attachment of the new mobile (Nokia 6300). Since then, I have been going to Nokia care, calling customer care, complaint cell but all in vain...

Poor service!
1. Complaint lodged for battery replacement, based on their advisory on 28th August 2007.
2. Website says that battery replacement delivery underway on same date.
3. Nokia local center says that if I had not lodged the complaint on the website, they can do it on the spot.
4. Their phone lines are unreachable and is a payable call, cross country. You are put on hold for 10 to 15 minutes with some ad messages, and then you give up.

Fu**ed company, fu**ed service. What a shame. Boycott NoKia!!!

Battery replacement harassment!
am one of the unfortunate owner of a nokia phone, with a 5LC battery, that comes under the endangered battery eligible for replacement. On 28th July, I went to their website, punched in my battery serial number and was happy to see that it flashed a message that the battery would be couriered. in fact after a couple of days, it said, that the battery was couriered on 28th itself!! what efficiency!! Till today, nothing. In the meanwhile, tried calling up their helpline ( A Banglore number, for which you pay STD charges) and after some automated messages, hung up after five or so minutes. Then, we approached one of their "Priority Centers" who directed us to NOKIA PROFESSIONAL center. There, they said that if I had not put in the web request, they could have replaced it across the table!! They said that it now will take its own course.

I called up the Bangalore number. Waited for ten minutes and then got through to an employee (call center ) called Neeta. She asked for my name, phone number and the battery serial number. Then she gave me the information that "YOU WILL GET IT BY COURIER". I asked her whether it has been couriered or the likely date, month and year when they would courier it. She snapped back saying that it has been couriered on 28th August. I asked her for some courier details like consignment note number etc for follow up. She said that they do not keep such records. Obviously, it has been lies all along. I then asked her to give me the contact number or mail id of someone higher up. She snapped back saying that I will get the same response. In frustration, I spent one hour on the net trying to find out if there is some address on which I could voice my protest. I could find none.

What is horrifying is that a company like NOKIA, supposedly the world's largest, has no customer care number nor an email id where one can protest. Truly a company that will not survive long, if this is the way they are going to treat customers. In our family, we have four NOKIA handsets. The next one we buy will be anything but NOKIA.

Lock codes related
I have buyed a new Nokia CDMA cellphone 3 days before, first problem what I have faced is there is a space given to put UIM but they have prohibited it strictly to put put anything there, after that I was going through the security settings first i was finding myself unable to change the security code as when i was entering the code mentioned in the booklet it was saying code error, after trying time to time I changed the same but just after that I do not know what happened my cell was working properly it turned off and just after that it was locked and I was trying to open the lock by entering the code since then it is saying CODE ERROR.

Since that day up till now I have shown it to 'n' number of technicals nobody is able to unlock the same, some are say that the given ESN no. is not matching with the software, some are saying that it won't be done, The service centre guys are saying that it will take a month for them to open the lock code.

I am completely harassed and do not know what to do.

Someone suggest.

Nokia uk online promotion
I've received a text message stating that I have won a prize of 91000 GBP in an ongoing Nokia promotion. There is a telephone no as well as an e-mail address. The e-mail address is [email protected] and the tel no is +447045743467.

Please verify if this is a scam or hoax.

Unskilled repairers
My mobile phone Nokia 3230 was given to Nokia Care Centre, Ambala Cantt, Haryana; on 28/8/07 for a minor fault. It coasted me Rs. 1000/- and two major faults were born in care center by the unskilled workers/repairers by hook and crook it seems to be. Till date my mobile is with care center only for pending repair. Pooh-pooh Nokia care center.

Nokia care (less) centres and services!
I had purchased my Nokia 6233 handset on 10.10.2006 from a Nokia Priority dealer to avail better warranty and after sales service, even though the regular dealers were selling it for a couple of thousand rupees less. Surprisingly it has been a total contrasting experience to what I expected.

Recently there was a problem of handsfree detection. On 17.07.2007 I approached HCL Infinet Nokia Care Centre, Marol Naka, Andheri East, Mumbai. Initially I was told the issue will be repaired and my handset will be returned within 7 days. A week later, I was told it will take a month since the issue cannot be rectified. Being under warranty, I will be issued a new handset - which later I came to know will be a refurbished one. Finally after a month as conveyed I get a refurbished handset in scratched condition. Not paying much heed to the external looks, I accept the handset.

After insertion of the battery and giving a proper charge, the phone refused to start. I take the handset again to the aforementioned service center, which diverts me to another service center called Phoneman in Andheri East. I'm informed that it’s a hardware problem and again will take a week for repairs. After a week, I visit Phoneman to collect my handset. I was shocked and taken aback that it’s not repaired with and the handset was claimed to be liquid damaged and not covered under warranty. MY HANDSET submitted to the HCL Infinet Nokia Care Center WAS IN PROPER CONDITION ONLY WITH HANDSFREE CONNECTIVITY PROBLEM. Why am I blamed for the damage on a refurbished handset which never belonged to me? Do not people have the data of the handset that comes in and goes out before makings such ridiculous comments.

Not willing to accept any responsibility for the issue, am once again directed to the HCL Infinet Nokia Care Center for redressal. I've handed over the handset for the third time. with no idea of the outcome. My phone has been out at the service center since 17.07.2007- almost reaching 2 months now, it feels like I've been tested for my patience for the error on the part of the service center people.

Am made to run around for an issue said to be resolved in a week's time. I had a Sony Ericsson earlier, but impressed by the reliability and reputation of Nokia handsets and better after sales service, I went for a Nokia phone. Unfortunately all of my expectations have been shattered. I paid comparatively a substantial amount compared to other dealers to avail benefits which I've yet to come across.

Certainly didn’t expect such carelessness and mishandling of issues from a reputed company like Nokia.

Poor service!
Given my Nokia E70phone for repair on August 7, 2007 - Job sheet No.
174434038/070807/44. Haven't received repaired phone after 32 days. Called – Nokia Care - Many times, no updates on delivery / expected date of Delivery - couldn't get any dates for delivery of the Handset.

Called many time to Nokia Call Centre after 2-3 calls - on August 28, 2007 - Care center took a complaint - Number: 2-2CXLOT – with a promise of response after 48 Hours. Couldn't get any update on the status after 48 Hours ( Called twice on August 30, 2007). Nokia executive requested for 24 more hours. After many calls ( almost daily) I would get response from Nokia call center to contact Nokia Care Center on September 5, 2007.

Contacted Nokia care center on September 8, 2007, I was informed that your handset will be replaced as the phone is not repairable, but couldn't get any updates on When??? It has been very frustrating experience to get my Phone getting repaired from Nokia. Even after one month, I couldn’t get any update from Nokia on when my Phone will be delivered.
