Pre-payed and ordered flexible crown moulding @ $20-foot for round wall to match straight moulding also purchased from this location.
Manager promised an exact match as item was extruded based on sample moulding.
After pick-up and progression of install it was discovered that extrusion was not same dimension as now installed straight crown.
Return to Store had manager back-pedal that straight items were not manufactured locally but imported from China, the extrusions are based on an old mold with different dimensions than what the Store now offered. His promise of perfection was reduced to 90% and I was told to sand it LARGER!
The saving grace was a sub-manager that produced a different piece of crown that more closly matched in dimension. His co-worker held fast the line that the first choice of crown was a better fit even though it was an 1-8th inch smaller and had a different radius.
The sub-manager matched the original (cheaper priced China-made)quote and I left somewhat happier.
Where did accountability and honesty in business go? To China for less money?
