charging without authorization
I am a small business who watches my expenses VERY carefully, not authorizing any new charges for past 6 months. I was contacted by OAN/Keysecure, Inc. several months ago for a free upgraded service that I asked specifically if it was free. Every time they asked for information I would state, only if it was free and there were no strings. To which the reply was, it was a free service. I was recorded, and stated during recording (only if it's free) at least 2 times. When I received phone bill I received charges for $39.95. I contacted them, they played back my "altered" recording and told me it was me that authorized charges. I stated no I didn't. After arguing with the woman, and then her supervisor they agreed to refund me 2 months of services. I had to go to AT&T for the 3rd charge. (So, unless AT&T gets their $ back, OAN gets at least $39.95.) These guys are scammers. As I was on hold, I was checking internet and found literally hundreds of complaints. AT&T said they's had lots of complaints (but still do business with them) but recommended we contact FCC 888-225-5322/ Check your phone bills regularly!!! And if you're being recorded, write it down so you'll remember what you agreed to... fight back... don't just tell your friends, complain to FCC or AT&T. Someone has to stop these guys!~
