I recently returned from a trip to the Dominican Republic. I stayed at the Oasis Hamaca hotel. It was a horror.
1. Not given the room type requested but told that they would the next day
2. Room change given to something far worse
3. Bugs everywhere (bed, sink). Lay down a blouse and bugs covered it in minutes. Hotel knew this and offered to fumigate.
4. Luggage rummaged through. Items stolen. Medicine and camcorder.
5. Room stank
6. Ceiling leaked
7. Roof outside door partially caved in.
8. Construction work began at 7:30 am (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
9. $70 to be taken to the mall. Per person
10. Security everywhere with shotguns
11. T-shirts $6-21. Dirty
12. No one to complain to.
13. Drinks had no alcohol in them
14. Prostitutes everywhere
15. My door to adjoining room locked every night and opened every morning. door
