I had a balance of $10.09 on my Orchard Bank credit Card. When I went online I was shocked to see the I had benn charged a $30.00 late fee. i immediately got on the phone and called the customer service department and talk to someone who only gave her name as "Lisa". I asked her, "What kind of criminal organization aare you working for?". I proceeded to explain how I was charged $30.00 in late fees on a balance of $10.09. She said that even if the balance was one dollar ($1.00) that $30.00 was what they charged in late fees. So I simply said that I would pay the late charge but that I was going to canceal the card. She then told me that she would wave 1/2 the late fee and only charge a $15.00 late fee. I told her that that was still unacceptable and proceeded to hang up the phone when she said. "Okay. I will wave the entire $30.00 fee if you do not canceal the credit card." I said that I would keep the card if she did that. I asked for a comfirmation number so that I could have proof that this conversation existed. She told me that her name, Lisa", and today's date (08/10/2209), was the comfirmation number and that in 5 to 7 days I would see that the $30.00 fee was waved. It still sounds like gangster s--t to me and I am seriously thinking about cancealing the card after I pay the $10.09 balance. So any and all who read this... be careful.
