In 2004-2005, I asked about a job at this Payless Shoe Store in Watertown, Mass. at the Watertown Mall. The manager, who I didn't get his name at the time, he can be described as Hatian, told me that I would be "too short" to work here and you need to be "tall." However, I noticed a year later that at another Payless, they had hired a girl who was 4'6" about and she was using a tool to reach the shoeboxes. I doubt this manager works at this Watertown location anymore, but when I contacted the company, they never got back to me. I know it's been a long time since the incident, but isn't this blatent height discrimination? I have not gone back to a Payless to buy shoes since!
