Dear Sir, I have recently been contacted by the 'director' of a Benin company, which, on an initial search of the Benin CoC is registered and does appear to exist. The company however is seeking to import a large amount of alcoholic beverages and has asked us to pay registration fees. We have not done so as we remain unconvinced about their authenticity.

The company in question does not have any interest in beverages and a number of inconsistencies started to appear in the use of language and with addresses and email details which has made us suspicious, the most recent e-mail address I have partially copied below for your information and advice.

Any light that you can throw on this would be most useful
