Mark Stephens, the principal of Precision Contracting, started to build a house for us and we ran into problem after problem with shoddy work that had to be corrected at great expense to us, and which at one point led to a serious accident involving my husband. They dug up the septic by mistake (they put it in), turned out it was just as well as the pipes were not right; later found a vent pipe from the septic coming up into a room in the basement, put vents and drains in wrong place, upside down, placed LVL beams incorrectly, failed to put on roof trusses on the supporting walls, cut deck and support posts that should not have been cut, resulting in having to add extra posts. Failed inspection after inspection. Finally had to get roof trusses re-engineered as they could not get through inspection - thank goodness for a new and competent contractor. Also paid way more than quoted to Precision - $7, 000 in labour alone to put on the trusses!! And they are scabbed and bent to fit, and did not match TPI's even though pre-engineered. We could write a book on these people.
