They post print jobs on craigslist. Once you apply for the job they call you in and make it seem like it's a call back. They rent out spaces in Manhattan and when you go to visit them they tell you that you have a nice look but you need to update your pictures so that you that the clients have an exact portrayal of what you look like. I was confused because I the lady I spoke with was like, " We got your submission for the job." I drove up to NYC and then she talked me into putting a 50 dollar deposit down for this supposedly hot shot photographer. I asked for his name and looked him up myself. I knew it was odd because I am a model and have gotten older. This is my first time back on the scene in 7 years so things have changed. I figured that I would pay 50 to kill my curiosity. They could have gotten me for a lot more if I didn't research things for myself. They also do not have a contact number, the number that they give models are forwarded to an answering service or a fax machine. The lady did follow-up with me from a different number and I told her that I would not be working with her because it is a scam and I saw it on the internet. She said that competitors do that to block their business. I said well can I have my fifty dollars back? She said no refunds but if you want to continue to work with us the deposit will go towards a photo shoot. I hung up on her. BEWARE!!! The lady who I met is young, fair skinned, with a foreign accent.
