I cancelled the polices that I had for myself and children in October of 2000. Not being familiar with the policies I recieved a cash value from prudential. Nine years later October 2009, I received mail from prudential address to my daughter regarding her policy with prudential. When I called the company regarding the information they informed me the policy is good until 2011. I asked how is the policy good if there is no policy. I cancelled this 9 years ago. I was informed first I did not sign the require paperwork. I informed them I must have if I recieved a check from them. The problem is they did not cash in all the policies on my children. They decided to keep the money and continue the policy without my knowlegde. me thinking there were no policies. I informed them how can you continue a policy if I cancelled the policy, (the childred were minor kids at that time) and discontinued payment. Prudential used the money from the were to refund me and continue the policy. Is this legal? Need help here.
