IT appears to common THINKING folks that "we" are being railroaded. IF notice how ONE utility files for a RATE increase - THEY ALL FILE? Amazing! As a free private enterpreneur and capitalist, I have to stay within my budget. Like all businessmen, when the budget runs out, one has to do something. I noticed where Westar Electric has filed for a RATE increase. Presently, I'm paying approx. .13-cents per kilowatt hour for my electricity. SO when my budget gets to where I can't pay the bills, I have only one option. Go to bed with the chickens and get up with the chickens. I never leave a lite on for any reason. Sad, how some folks think "electri-city" grows on tree. WHERE will all these RATE increases STOP? WHEN the public no longer is able to pay their bills. Then, the bankrupted company files for bankruptcy. After which, everyone will be on the same "playing field" - BROKE! Government steps in - TAXES everyone more. BUT, when everyone is anable to pay their taxes - then what? ALMOST MAKE ME PROUD TO SAY I'M an AMERICAN!
