My Mom made a call to the Philippines using a phone card that I bought thru G3telecom. I received over $400 LD bill today from Qwest. I called Telecom first to confirm the day of the call on Jan. 9. I was told by their customer service that in some instances during the call, the call can get disconnected and can be re-directed and will be picked up by my local phone carrier. They refused to take responsibility for what happened. I called Qwest and explained the whole situation. I complained the fact that during that time when my call was disconnected and was picked up by them, why was I not given any kind of warning to let me know in any way so I could have hanged up and dialed again using the calling card that we have been using. Qwest also refused to take any responsibility for this matter. I have a $400 bill charged for ONE phone call. Qwest's management will not take into account that either way I looked at it, I wouldn't have a way of knowing that I was incurring a huge bill during the call because they failed to do their part to inform and warn me about it which I think is VERY WRONG! I am a regular customer who works hard to pay my bills on time, and it really bothers me that some companies like qwest (or telecom) takes advantage of this kind of situation!!!!! Very unfair!
