unauthorized switching of service/baiting
I was offered a really good deal on long distance/ local phone service from qwest communications. I had takled to a person in July when business was booming and had a phone service connected at my business. About three weeks after my service was initated I recieved a phone call from a Qwest communications phone number and a represenitive wanting to review my bill and make sure my serivice is what i wanted. We went over my personal information quick like and he asked a few questions about my services. After telling him i was happy and all was well the phone cll ended in a thankyou and have a good day. Little did i know I just had my longdistance switched on me...USBI is the culprit! I made several phone calls to both businesses. Qwest told me to call them and get things cleared up and USBI, well they just hung up on me several times in a row...oddd! Now i refuse to pay the bill because of this scam! Also when i talked to Qwest about this and trying to get my old services back she said someone put something in the computer wrong and i wasnt supposed to get sucha good deal so they could not offer me my same services at the smae price which raised my bill considerably, she told me that she was sorry and thats all they could do. I asked to cancel services and she said it would be a fee...this company is an all around scam and needs to be regualted on, seems the federal agents knew what was going on and havent done anything...anyone have any ideas???? please email me [email protected]

phone service contract
Qwest bisiness partners signed my business (proteam marketing) up on a new 3 year phone service contract. There product was better than our past suppier, Integra.Proteam marketing saved @ 30% by making the switch. Qwest then contacted us is November, increasing our rates (line charges) not honoring the 3 year contract of there business partners, who where authorized to make the original deal. Qwests position is final they say. Increasing our monthly by @35% for a net loss of 5% or, to a small business of $1200 a year

Double paid / won't refund us
I paid through my bank account on 8/31/2010 $10.00 which cleared my account on 9/1/2010. Later I got a bill saying I would go to collections if I don't pay $11.66, so I paid through their website on 10/5/2010 granted I thought this was another bill not realizing it was the same bill and now we paid twice. I called on 10/5/2010 to confirm and advised them that I already paid for this original charge and it cleared and they stated they would do a Payment Investigation and it would take 3-5 business days for someone to call me regarding this issue. I never got a call and so I called again on 10/15 I explained I've been waiting to find out what is going on with my case.I was told it takes 7-10 days for this to be done, yet still nothing about the status of my case. I called again 10/29 to be told now they need a copy of the check the bank sent or bank transmittal report. So we sent that to the fax group at 800.393.4318. I still didn't hear anything so on 11/5 I called yet again. Explaining I don't have time to call every week to find out where and when my money will get refunded, that it's been over 30 days since this has all started "the investigation" which they put a note in for someone to call me for a follow up to this day I have not heard anything. I can't believe it takes this long to get my overpayment back. My next stop will be to the BBB, for someone not to call me or for me to not get my refund in a timely manner is unacceptable. I will not recommend this company to anyone nor use them again.

Scam
I am a college student and upon moving into my first place I got Qwest for internet service. The house I lived in was old and the phone line wasn't connected so I called after getting service to come install a phone line so I would be able to use the internet. During this time on the phone trying to get a service tech to come out they told me I could bundle my verizon service into one bill with them so I agreed.
After scheduling two times for them to come install the phone line, only to have no one show, I cancelled my qwest service and thats where it all began. They tried to tell me id have to pay for the two months I had gone without service even though I never had internet access because they never installed it! They also informed me id have to pay the termination fee which I was fine with just not the service I never had.
During this time I paid my verizon bill individually since I had cancelled my qwest service. However months later I get an outstanding bill of $800 (yes $800!!!) from qwest saying that they had paid multiple verizon bills. I did a three way call with verizon and qwest where verizon told qwest we had paid the bills and they still wont drop it. I called countless times and have spent 5 hours easy talking to them. Now im getting daily harassing/rude calls from qwest to pay for a service I never had and phone bills ive already paid. My mother has even talked to them and they constantly give the run around saying my ONLY option is to pay them the full $800+ dollars. I would have easily gone without internet if I had know this is how it would be.

Poor customer service
I have never had a good experience with Qwest customer service and today made me realize after being a loyal customer for 10 years, I have to end doing service with them. I moved into my new house and made arrangements to have my phone number from my old house transferred to my new house. "No problem" I was told. Well, now I am receiving phone calls meant for someone else. I calles customer service and after a long time of trying to explain my number was not working I requested to talk to a manager. I was told a technician will not be able to come for 2 days. There was a technician here today but apparently he failed to check if my old number worked. I got the manager to agree to forward my home calls to my cell phone. It never happened.
I hope they record there conversations with the customers because if a supervisor ever heard our conversation someone would be getting fired.

Billing
I noticed this month that my Qwest cable and internet bill each went up $10. I did not receive prior notification that these bills would be increasing. Trust for Qwest is now in question. I went shopping around for other ISPs and it seems that I'm being over-charged for what I'm getting. My current speed I'm getting from Qwest is 2.6Mb/s. This costs me $60 per month. Is the cost/speed ratio good?

incompetent bundling internet
I decided to bundle internet and phone service with Qwest. The ads said it would simplify my life. BAD idea. June 2010, after talking to 4 different reps who all tried to change the "package" in the days prior to install, I finally had the tech come to my home. Good thing I opted for the "optional" tech install. Turns out the Qwest reps had sold me a package that didn't work with my modem. I needed a new modem (provided by the tech) and the install was complicated and took three hours. Over the next three months, I had to call Qwest every month when the bills arrived--they were not bundled, and the amounts charged were initially incorrect. Every time I called, it was an hour long process of explaining the problem, going through the online notes, trying to get the two accounts merged into one bundled account. Every time I would be told that next months' bill would be "bundled". Finally, in September, I was disgusted. When I called, the representative told me that he'd been with Qwest a long time and would figure out the problem. After leaving me on hold awhile, he came back on and told me my phone line was the "wrong kind". I would have two choices: pay a higher amount each month for internet because they could not bundle my services after all OR pay to have my phone line changed at my own expense. Needless to say, I was furious. I told him Qwest should have disclosed a problem to me at the time of the install. He said the technician would not have been aware of the problem, and so it was my problem. Qwest was not responsible. I call it BAIT AND SWITCH. It's just wrong! The representative was rude, and Qwest should have stood by their install, and their promise of service. They caused a lot of headache and trauma. Now I have to search for a new home phone service and internet service.
