Rangeland RV - Worst Service Department Ever
When I purchased my Rockwood Trailer from their sales person James Traxler - the experience was extremely positive. HE provided great service, follow up and ensured I got the trailer that met my needs and requirements. I couldn't have been happier. Unfortunately, the experience deteriorated rapidly once it came to delivery of the trailer and ongoing service of the unit. When we received our trailer the young fellow who walked us through the trailer and provided knowledge on how to use the trailer, set it up etc, - again excellent! We left as "happy campers" off for our first camping experience. We set up and had no power and were unable to get power to the unit. We phoned in for support and received zero help over the phone from the service department. They basically acted like we were idiots and didn't know what we were doing. WE took the trailer back in once we returned and the lady at service informed us that there is always problems with these tent trailers and we were LUCKY our issues were so minor - she had seen much worse. Didn't make us feel better. They did fix the issues and we got the trailer back and were able to use if for the rest of the season. I went back once more and was told - oh she doesn't work here any more she was not good with the customer. REally!
We took the trailer in earlier this summer to have the unit de-winterized and a patch done on the roof as we had a small hole in it (totally our fault the hole happened). The trailer was there for 3 weeks because they were so busy. We got a call it was ready to go - picked it up and brought it home. The roof repair was done - not fantastic job but not bad.
We went to get the trailer ready for our first camping weekend - and it was still full of anti-freeze. I called service and was told - well maybe it's the grey water tank you are looking at -NOPE don't have one of those on the trailer - and besides wouldn't they have drained that? We drained the gallons of anti-freeze and de-winterized the unit ourselves. Good learning experience. I contacted the dealership and was told no managers available. When I explained what I was calling about - Russ the service manager was available. He was RUDE and ABRUPT on the call. Offered no apologies or concern that his team had charged me for work that was not done. So, | indicated I just wanted my money back since we took care of the work ourselves. WAs told I would have to bring my VISA card in to get the refund. I indicated that I was NOT driving to Airdrie to get that done since they had failed and I shouldn't be inconvenienced more. I requested that they mail be a cheque so I could have my money and not be inconvenienced. HE agreed to do that - I will update this review when I get the cheque to indicate they followed through - or not if they don't.
I would never recommend to anyone that they deal with this dealership based on the lack of customer service and in fact recommend that you don't buy from them or deal with them unless you never need service.
So just an update - I have waited since I did the original post on July 28th and have not received any communication or cheque from Rangeland. I will be opening a complaint with the BBB to make sure others know there is a case against them. Glad to hear the other poster had a great buying experience - interested to see if they update if they have to use the service department....... Feel sorry for the great sales team.....
Well I thought I would bring you all up to speed on what is happening with my situation with Rangeland RV. A month or so ago I received a mailing from them that goes I'm sure to all their customers inviting me to have my trailer winterized. I decided to write a probably not very polite note on the mailer and send it back to them expressing that I would never use their service and perhaps they would like to send the cheque I was promised to reimburse me for the service that was not done. I received an email from Russ the service manager saying that my note had been passed on to him and he wanted to resolve this with me so I would quit "blogging" about my experience and and giving such negative reviews for one little mistake. I responded to his email very politely and indicated that I did not think it was one mistake however, I am being perfectly fair with them and telling all of you the good and the bad and that I would be happy to resolve this - he could refund my money for the non-service and I would update my review her with the facts and truth telling you all that we had resolved this and that he had taken care of things. Wished him a good weekend and looked forward to receiving my cheque in the mail once the owner had signed it on the Monday. Well - here we are 3 weeks later - no cheque Russ. So here I am updating the facts and the truth - that although Russ approached me to resolve this and I agreed I have seen no cheque. Perhaps it got lost in the mail on

Extremely Poor Service
Rangeland RV is the shadiest and worse company I have ever purchased from. I purchased a holiday trailer from them and have had nothing but problems ever since. The sales associates are just out to make money and don't care about their clients. The service department is lazy and rude. This list of incomplete work and un-delivered promises is long. The biggest problem I am having is getting Rangeland to complete their warranty work. From scratched sinks, to peeling decals, to stained carpet upon initial purchase, Rangeland has been lazy and negligent in completing their in-house warranty promises. 3 months after my purchase, I took my trailer to Rangeland to get these cosmetic issues fixed as per their in house one year warranty. They kept my trailer for more than 8 months and did NOTHING! When I asked then again to fix these issues, they had the nerve to tell me they wouldn't fix them because my year was up! It is now 2 years later and Rangeland still refuses to do the work they said they would do and continue to give me the run around. I strongly urge anyone even looking at holiday trailers to bypass Rangeland RV completely!

Worst Service Department
I am posting this to save people grief and frustration when deciding if to purchase a trailer from Rangeland RV. This company had our brand new trailer and work was not professional. We paid for them to install 2 solar panels and one was not installed correctly. Upon picking up the trailer, and towing home for use, a solar panel ripped off the roof, and left 4 holes in the roof. The solar panel was destroyed. We then took the trailer back in to be fixed, and they will not fix the roof or replace the solar panel. This was their fault and the solar panel was installed into 1/8 inch of boarding not a beam. Are their techs even sure of what they are doing? They have been unorganized and forgot that they even had our trailer in the past year to be fixed for other things prior to this latest event. Our trailer is brand new, and had many issues that the company did not even fix properly/effectively. I would highly recommend that no one purchases a trailer from this company, as it has been nothing but a frustration and disappointment in dealing with them. Our friends had bought a used trailer from them with extended warranty and have since had several problems with a leak in the trailer. They have not fixed it either and have been unable to get any work done from them to help them out with it.
