Royal Bank had been charging my Visa balance an 18.50 % annual interest rate for the seven years I've had the card. Suddenly, a couple of months ago, they arbitrarily raised that to 19.75 %. I called their 1800 number and complained, and they subsequently put a hold on my credit card. Classy move on their part.
